I'm feeling depressed after watching that half. It was just sad watching us pathetically and a little half-heartedly chasing City players about our own half.
I said it from day 1 and today is just yet more evidence that Agger is not a LB. Against shit opposition he can cope, but against decent times he comes up short and we're getting absolutely fucking raped down that side. If Hodgson doesn't sort that out, we'll have no hope of getting anything out of this game.
And then there is the midfield. Same 'ol problems. Big 'ol sigh.

Kuyt, Gerrard, Ngog and Jovanovic has been particularly poor. The rest mediocre.
Only silver lining here is that we've so far not seen a good 1st half under Roy. The 2nd halves mind has been equally great so far hence we're still very much in this.
Wouldn't mind seeing Poulsen, Pacheco and Maxi outthere. Babel too if he's ready.

I was actually quite shocked by Roy's line-up. I cannot believe he played Ngog up with Torres, leaving us outgunned in midfield against Barry, Toure, De jong. Neither Ngog or Torres are comfortable dropping deeper to supliment the midifield when needed.

it's all to comfortable for city because our wide players simple down have the pace to go down the flanks, so it goes through the middle and city have stronger, fitter CM than we do. we are playing into their hands.

Were being raped in midfield, think we need to go 3 v 3 in the middle, pull Ngog and stick on Poulsen and let Gerrard have a bit more freedom to go where he can cause trouble.
