I would be extremely excited about the prospect of Laudrup managing Liverpool. Said in my most objective voice.

Whether he'd be successful? I obviously don't know, but to be honest there's no-one out there who can give you that guarantee during the current climate I believe.

I do trust him to bring something new to the table mind, a fresh start, and I firmly believe he'd make us a more attractive brand in more than a few players eyes. He's a capacity within the game and a true gent as well.

Personally I can't think of many managers out there that I'd believe would be better suited to the project. He's young, talented, well-respected, attacking minded and a bit of risk. But again who isn't mate.

would you (again, no bias) have him ahead of de boer?

Honest question Kris. What do you believe he brought to his previous managerial posts because the results haven't been top of the pops have they ?

I would. De Boer has done a great job with Ajax but he's got some of the best players in Holland at his disposal too. Without drawing to many comparisons Laudrup did a similar job with Brøndby in his first job.

He's got more experience than De Boer, from Spain particularly, and a much bigger name in the game.

will be interesting to see if he is included on the shortlist

If Begiristain is indeed the DoF, then you've gotta think that Laudrup will be in the running, given his Barca connections.

Brøndby, his first job, as said, was a succes. One of the top teams in Denmark but they've literally been in a shambles almost ever since he left.

Getafe was another success. Took a rather unknown little club to the quarters in the UEFA and the final in Copa Del Ray. Was extremely unlucky even to lose against Bayern at the time. Moved on as they lost all their players after that Season.

Russia was a flop and a strange call. Probably learned something still.

He was loved in Mallorca, kept them alive after they had just lost loads of key players, their spot in Europa League because of poor economy and generally started on the very low. Left them as he fell out with their owner and the way the club was (not) run. To much an uphill task.

He's still an unknown quantity at highest level, as a manager, but one he's capable of making I'm positive.
