He's not finished by any means. He's just human now. And we can't expect him to play like he did 3 years ago and before a serious knee injury.
Players playing at such a high level for so long are freaks, so just expecting our players to do it and maintain previous levels way past a traditional peak is just blind, probably misplaced, faith.

Unless he's willing to adjust his game to the reality of life post Pickford, I would move on from him.

Not recycling and re-building has been a terrible error. Unless you're Chelsea with limitless funds, you cash in and add new blood. We've not done that. Now we're facing losing players for free or selling at bottom value. I know we nearly won it all last year but this year has been a disaster. There's no limit as to who you could get rid of. We're not in the space of losing 2 and adding 2 to remedy this, we need a lot of new blood.

We have to accept that if we buy these players like Mane and Salah when they're hungry, have something to prove etc. we sell them at top value to replace them with new, younger players. Otherwise, we need a Saudi owner.
