Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

You could not be more wrong. You could try. But you would fail.

I can't figure out if you're taking the piss or just a bit simple.

Getting rid of a past it striker and signing Suarez and Carroll wasn't waving a white flag.

It was the first step in a rebuild.

It's not a sign of the quality of the player if he goes cheaper though - could just be that the buyer is a better negotiator, not as desperate, or just a tad not as loaded / willing to spend.

We've always gotten bummed on transfers based on factors you've described n the past. With alonso and torres we showed that if clubs really want players they'll meet asking prices. If he goes then Madrid have to be favourites and its not like they cant meet his real valuation.

Which is why we cant back down. Im sorry but I dont buy that there's 18 million as la chacal had suggested between the two players because of Suarez's disciplinary record.

Thats not really all of what I said originally though is it. I said cos he's a nobhead and a liability, he's a nobhead for giving interviews every other day pimping himself out. A player being publicly unsettled and unhappy never helps with transfer value either.

I'm not saying he shouldn't cost as much as others but just explaining why he probably will go for a little less. I hope we flog him to anzhi or some Russian club for mega money, fuck him and his Madrid dreams.

I agree with you, but I also have the benefit of hindsight.

You weren't saying any of that at the time.

He signed a long term contract last summer. All debate aside other clubs don't get fucked in the ass over unhappy players. We should be getting top dolla!

Arsenal are supposed to have upped through offer to 43 million, hope if he leaves its abroad and over 50 million.

Think its 35 mill now.

I've got a feeling that Bayern could come in with a bid.
Sold Gomez and got money in bucketloads.
Lewandowski isnt coming until next year, if at all.

I wouldn't sell to any Prem club no matter what offer came in. Hopefully Bayern will make a bid, because then Real would have to get serious about this. Dortmund clearly don't want to sell Lewandowski to Bayern, and Suarez is the better player of the two anyway.

Perhaps if we make him the same kind of offer that Rafa's said to have made to Xabi - give us one more season and then you can go?

I think the reason there havnt been any big bids is because mans a fucking id-yat!!
Who wants mans?

Or maybe we can just look at the real reason:

The club will only sell for 45-50 million (it seems).

Who can afford that?

Arsenal? Doubtful (do we really want to sell to a potential rival for a top 4 place?)
Chelsea? He doesn't want to go there it seems, so it's a non-starter
Manure? Hahahahahahhahaha
City? Possible - and no one else from England.

Bayern? Possibly - they may get involved - and no one else from Germany.

Juve? Could do, but signed their two strikers (Llorente + Tevez) - and no one else from Italy.

Barca? Could do, but signed their big name signing already (Neymar)
Madrid? #1 likely destination, but known to fuck us around and take their time - and no one else from Spain.

Monaco? Could do, but signed Falcao for 60 million. Doubtful they need another striker
PSG? Could do, but going after Cavani - and no one else from France.

So basically ... there's only 2-4 realistic options here, and they all know the club has the upper hand (we seem to be saying 'this price, or no). So there doesn't seem to be a rush unless we buckle, or one of those 2-4 clubs make a big offer and make this simple.

All you're pointing out is the fact that top clubs felt there were lots of better options open to them

Who have Madrid signed, or been linked to, that is a better option than him?

You get the point ... Suarez is one of the best players in the world, and it will take a monster fee to get him. That's why the offers aren't coming in, and may not either.

If you have 50+ million, there is no better striker available than Suarez ... And yes, he's better than Cavani, though he will cost 63 million because Napoli - like us - hold all the cards with the player.

There's also the Russian clubs, but their bids always seem so random.

I didn't include them - though I would be very very interested if he'd go there if say we accepted a 50+ million offer ... I don't think this move is being pushed by money
