He's first choice at DM and was superb at CB when selected so I can see him getting games there.
No matter how much anyone hopes/thinks/wishes he won't play, he always manages to get games for us.
Going by this thread and the 1,006,456 others we have had on him, its more ballsy to keep him.
It makes perfect sense for Klopp to block it if we don't have anyone else lined up to replace the role he fills at DM.
Come on Mark, we all know he has had a lot of injuries over the last four years. Also as Ryan loves to point out, there is no such thing as a first 11. While the likes of Gerrard can play anywhere in any position, Lucas is most definitely a specialist DM so it's makes perfect sense that he wouldn't play all games even when fit.
Depending on the opponents, the tactics and how the managers wants us to play, a DM may often not be called for.
It doesn't mean that when we required a DM and he was fit, he was excluded. He was by and large regularly picked over those years when fit and when the game needed a DM.
With that being the case it either means, every manager on the list is an idiot for not getting in someone better, tried and failed before realising Lucas was much better than the alternatives (Spearing, Allen, Poulson, Stewart, Can etc) or felt he was good enough in that position and other areas of the team needed addressing.
I think it's a bit of option two and three but I think most balanced fans already would see that.
