Crystal Palace are set to soar into the realms of the Premier League’s biggest payers after agreeing a four-year deal for Max Meyer worth £35million.
The package works out at nearly £170,000 a week for the Germany midfielder who is available after leaving Schalke at the end of his contract.
Palace would have to pay Schalke a small compensation fee of around £450,000 for the 22-year-old’s training and development.

If you paid a 25m fee plus say 85k a week youd be looking at 45m over 4 years.

Yeah I was thinking the same. 35 mill ain't too bad, problem is his demands would most likely blow up our wage structure. Some players might feel aggrieved.
