Mind you, though I'm not sure how these things are done in the Emerald Isle, over here pharmacists are very much cast in that role - in fact increasing efforts are being made to get us to go to them for initial advice, in my home area at least. Though in fairness this probably hasn't led to them conducting too many clunge exams yet.

Yes, pharmacists here are certainly playing an increased role in the health system, including more assessing and prescribing for some conditions as appropriate.
I'm involved in advocacy work in several jurisdictions here and sit on the board of our provincial pharmacist association, lobbying for increased scope of practice and remuneration.
We have the ability to do a lot more than pills in a bottle but, as a profession, dont do a great job of educating the public.

I watched a live stream of this game and I can't remember who was commentating, but I recall sometime during the match he mentioned Everton's period of supremacy or dominance in the mid 80's. Can someone with a better memory than me (literally anyone) put me right here. The 80's passed me by in a blur.
