Liverpool's Glen Johnson suffers suspected knee injury

As most people on here know I am involved in local politics and yesterday I was helping to clear out our local office. There are basically piles of stuff that have been there for years including lots of packs of photos. I was having a look through them and found one of little Glen Johnson as a 15 year old, at school wearing a South Park tie with his arm round our former local MP, who was clearly visiting the school.

Amused me briefly.

Put Gerrard there.

If only!!

I'm beginning to think that Gerrard is either still suffering badly from injury or his legs really are starting to waver; I can't think of any other reason for Rafa persisting so desperately with the midfield we've put out for so long.

Jesus christ, surely degen will play at right back. Surely hes done enough to suggest he is a capable replacement for glenjo. He looks very accomplished going forward as far as i can see. Not so sure defensively, but no difference there with johnson.

Degen may indeed play but I don't think he's done anything like enough to suggest he's a capable replacement for Magic yet. One OK game against a team who, despite their exploits last weekend, are still a Div.1 side doesn't make him a Prem standard RB.

I can.

Benitez is a bit mental.

I'm sure Rafa said in some article the other day that Gerrard isn't training properly or wasn't training with the rest of the team.

Either way, he was fucking diabolical in midfield against Reading.

I noticed at one point Gerrard seemed unable to hit full pace when running. He was definitely running a little restrained. But yes, he was fucking garbage against Reading
