Orange bib theory!. No sign of Henderson, Benteke and Gomez in training.

So, that'll be:

Mignolet
Clyne Skrtel Lovren Moreno
Lucas
Milner Can
Firmino Ings Coutinho

Talking of which, didn't he come back from injury, and score, against West Ham last year?

Good memory; I'd totally forgotten. Came on as a sub for Markovic, scored 12 minutes later.

For all his injuries last season, he still ended up with 4 league goals and 2 assists in 12 games - about 747 minutes (source: transfermarkt). That's about a goal every 186 minutes; poor by his standards, but still a good rate for strikers in the league!

Studsup beat me to the bolded bit 😉

There was no sign of club captain Jordan Henderson who missed Monday’s entertaining draw at Arsenal because of a foot problem which forced his withdrawal after 50 minutes against Bournemouth.

Jordan Rossiter was among the group, fresh from his England U19 call-up this morning and after his Premier League debut at the Emirates while Mamadou Sakho was all smiles despite being left out of the French international squad today.

Also among the players were Tiago Ilori and Joao Carlos Teixeira, after two recent appearances for the U21s, along with Cameron Brannagan and Joe Maguire.
Brendan Rodgers, Gary McAllister, Sean O’Driscoll and Pep Lijnders were all present oversee the session.

If the "bib theories" are to be believed, Lucas, Can and Firmino will all start again at Anfield on Saturday.

Waaaaay too much jinxing going on in this thread....

I do not give a fig how we win as long as we get three points.

Fingers toes crossed.

It's frankly amazing that a young lad can sign from a lower league team and slot into the starting XI and look immediately better than any of his predecessors of recent years .

Are we that shit or is Gomez potentially that good?

If you'd been watching you'd know the answer to that !

Looks like the same team as against Arsenal.

Hopefully Firmino, Benteke and Coutinho will get going and we'll improve even further.

As have I. The social club I went to a party in last night ran out of becks & all other bottled beer & only had carling or fosters to choose from. I went with carling.

Still, the scran was alright.
