Apart from the obvious selection cockup with the back 4.. I've no idea what Rodgers was thinking...
So just all a little bit Meh...
So just all a little bit Meh...
We've been average all season so no surprise really. We've not really improved the first team. No Coutinho or Suarez and we're predictable plodders.
No balance to the team, dis-jointed, second to the ball, lacked creativity. Deserved to lose.
Agree completely.Rodgers .. step forward and take a bow, this defeat was all your engineering.
God-awful performance. Yes, Rodgers has been dealt a hard hand with all the injuries, but he didn't even come close to solving the problems. 4 CBs is not a solution, Aspas at #10 is not a solution. We started looking much more coherent when Sterling, Enrique and Alberto came on and Henderson moved to RB, but by that time Southampton were comfortably defending a deserved lead and our players kept making the stupid errors of judgement which are all but inevitable when you play for 60 minutes in a confused state and get increasingly frustrated by your and your teammates' inability to produce anything.
The gaffer didn't exactly make it easy for us.Cheers all the cunts who said this would be an easy game.
What's happening? we looked as if we had played for 4 hours in the second half - Pochettino could give a few lessons to Rogers in how to set up a team and how to retain possession. They pressed us all over the pitch for 90 minutes - what a surprise - just like they did last season. We just looked clueless.
