which is exactly what I would do. sell the players that make not to no contribution to buy 1 or 2 players (striker/LB) that can be relied upon and promote kids from the reserves. its a gamble but we are going to be hard pressed to do worse than this season.

It's worth noting that three of the players on your list came from the reserves, so you find yourself saying exactly the same thing at the end of next season.

Still, I think we are in a position now where one or two of the youngsters can be drafted into the first team squad. Kelly at RB, Pacheco up front and we'll see what happens with Shelvey and Wilson.

The problem we've seen in recent years is that we don't really commit to one strategy. We'll spend a couple mill on youngsters and then another couple mill on some shit player like Voronin. If we're going to go with youth, spend it on getting the very best and then play them, otherwise we may as well just save our cash and put it towards a proper signing.

you'll soon see how good the kids are because the internationals wont be back by then (unless they are booted out early) so rafa (if he is still here) will have no choice but to field reserve players
