It isn't an I told you so, I just get riled up 1. by people saying cheer the fuck up or whatever, completely ignoring the reasons we put forward for being pessimistic and 2. how we can see it coming a mile off.
This game has gone exactly how I said and how I thought it would. I'm not happy to be right, and I'd certainly be happy to be proven wrong.
Yep bringing on Firmino for Can has probably cost us.

To be honest that's where he needs to strengthen. We don't have anyone that can control the midfield.
You say the same sort of stuff every week though Hal, you're rarely positive about anything. When was the last time you said you thought we would get something? So after 12 games unbeaten we lose one and you could "see it coming a mile off". Well done you.
It definitely cost us because Firmino also took Can's position for defending Palace's corners.

The stuff we are playing looks nice but it's high fucking risk especially when you've got some pretty mindless stuff from Can at times.

Because we're not a very good team and we finished 7th last year. I'm just being realistic. I actually thought we'd beat Norwich and Southampton off the top of my head, The last game against Rubin I'd thought we'd win. Of those 12 games unbeaten about 11 have been draws. I've just said this isn't an "I told you so" I don't take any satisfaction from it so you can fuck off with that well done you. Some fans need a reality check.

We lost because we have a keeper that can make brilliant saves but also can't command his box and can't play as a sweeper like Reina.
Almost no fast breaks because of that and that means that we almost always will be up against an organized defense.

Can is far from the finished product, Lucas is good when he's effective but lacks the quality in a game we should be dominating (he repeatedly played poor balls and dallied when he had time). Lovren isn't a good defender at all (pushing constantly instead of trying to win the ball), we lack goals between our supporting attackers. Mignolet is a poor keeper. Good shot stopper at times but zero presence and ridiculously indecisive.
Zonal marking once again undid us, as we've found out time and time again from setpieces since Rafa's days, if you're mismatched physically it's too easy to exploit because the opposition just has to attack the zones in numbers and we concede. Two poor subs too. And lastly, under Rodgers, if Firmino had been allowed to roam and been instructed to constantly track to the point where he's spending alot of time defending deep in our half, then Rodgers would have been crucified - he was, on many occasion for it.

Yeah...first goal was mainly from Cans ridiculous attempt to take a touch inside the bloody six yard back and second was down to our shit corner defending ability.
But Crystal Palace are a really physical side and the sort of opponent that is tough to face after a mid week away trip across the continent.

Fair enough. I seem to recall someone, I can't remember who, saying something like cheer the fuck up. I get painted as a pessimist but we regularly get beat by the likes of Palace and we're practically a midtable team. I get flamed whenever I say stuff like this, so it's probably a build up from that.
