Yup. For the opposition. We're used to it. Ti's our home turf and we know where the goal is. The opposition will need to let their eyes adjust for most of the match so they can see it.

Why don't we also make the goal bigger by a couple of cm height and length wise so that we will not hit the post so often like last year? lol

Not me Brendan, I haven't given Carroll any stick, rather the contrary. He can play that lad even in a 4-3-3. Where there is will there is a way and all that.

Oh and nice to see him complement Adam as well.

...even if, at a guess, it probably was to try and maximise any transfer fee . 😉 In fairness to Adam, he did nick a nice little ball through to Suarez in the lead-up to Lucas' goal. It reminded me of Baros' lovely little tickle through to Stevie which led to our equalising peno in Istanbul. 😎

I think you're referring to Carroll's goal in the 2nd half. Adam back-healed it to him before he scored.

Downing does look a little improved yes from the limited exposure I've had this season. His final ball/shot is still a little predictable though

He's under no real pressure for his starting spot. If that is rectified in the next weeks I'm sure he'll proceed to crack like a cheap vase.

What's everyone going on about for the third goal? Downing wasn't on the pitch, Adam flicked the ball around the corner for Carroll with a great bit of improvisation that would have got noticed more if it was by anyone else.
