Coates not having a good game! A couple of mistakes in last few minutes and AWOL for the goal

Fucking hell, sterling's cross would have met Carroll head in a masterful fashion had that defender just about got to it.

This raheem lads alright, why has no one mentioned him before 🙄

The Kop loved Adam & were ambivalent about Carroll & now it's reversed.

I'm bothered that we seem more intent on crossing it long since Carroll came on. We don't need to do that each time, play the same brand of football but use that as am occasional option. Just mix it up as opposed to being reliant on one way.

What I saw of it, good game.

Sterling needs a bench place next week minimum.

Carroll shouldn't go anywhere.

Lucas is doing well considering.

Adam isn't good enough but could do a job perhaps, I expect him to go.

We change our style when Carroll is there. That HAS to stop, it does him nor the team no favours.

Stevie revels in this system, & its no surprise he links with Suarez like their telepathic, cos he does that with any top class player.

If Allen can provide very quick passes to Stevie like xabi did then he can exploit that & set suarez, borini or Carroll up. Without alonso feeding Stevie quickly torres struggled for that very reason. This system suits it.

Ahem.

Don't think it's quite as clear cut as that.
He had a player to his right I think, unmarked. Had he covered for Carra's cockup, that player would have been completely free.
Have to look at it again but I thought he should have moved up 1-2 steps closer the Sam. Make it harder for him to turn and line up the shot.

And, yes FFF, I should have typed 'Nor' rather than 'Not'.

Sterling has talent but gives the ball away waaaaaaay too much. Not ready to start for us.

I think his main problem is still his size, which is hardly surprising given that he was still about 5ft tall a couple of years ago. He can be bullied off the ball very easily. Will be a good option from the bench, though.

You must have only seen 5 minutes then because it was turgid shite.
