If we can't beat this gaggle of assorted ladyboy's and masseuses, we've no hope of winning the league.

Massive game this. Gotta show the world we're right behind Deirdre Rashid Stevie G.

Australians - Is this garbage being shown on the TellyV? Setanta aren't showing it I don't think.

Hope you guys get it on telly, mate.

Malaysian Reds : 8.55pm on ESPN.

Though it's a bit disappointing that Gerrard's not here and Xabi's 'injured'.

It's Ok, there's still Spoearing and Voronin.

Can't help feeling a bit frustrated.

I wish they were playing in Bukit Jalil, it's a much bigger stadium than both the Rajamangala and Kallang Stadiums (Thai and Singapore National Stadiums respectively) and we'd fill it up with ease....the Mancs did, and while they may have more fans here, ours are far more passionate which will be very apparent in both the Thai and Singapore games.

A small and sad little part of me is still hoping that if Xabi and Alonso can be reminded just how much the team means to us and how important they are to the team , all this Barca/Real Madrid crap will go away.

Yes,it's a bit silly.

And Gerrard's legal troubles aren't helping the situation either.

I keep getting emails and texts from people desperately trying to get tickets because none are available in Malaysia, the few left are all allocated in Singapore so I've been trying to help as best I can, which is why I don't even mind asking Roger.

If I could just bottle a little of the excitement and joy we're feeling about seeing our Reds;and sprinkle t on Xabi and Masher;they'd wake from the spell and ask 'wtf am i doing'?

I have seen some photos during the match. Bkt Jalil was no way full, with large-ish patches of empty seats. I will give it maximum 80 to 85 thousand.

I wonder what was the number during the second match.

Thailand and Singapore combined total sold out matches easily top 120,000.

My guess would be about 90,000 as well.

I'm not sure what time you saw the photos, but I was there and it was very crowded.

Didn't go to the second game.

Anyway,no point worrying about the numbers of prawn sandwich munchers.

If I had any doubts as to how pathetic Manc supporters were, they were dispelled quickly.

All they could was go on singing 'Glory Glory' becoz it was the only song they knew how to sing.

The Mancs with me were all bragging about the numbers of people; but wait till they see and hear the Red Storm on Saturday.

I'm very hopeful that Singapore will be special.

The stadium has designated the East Stand to be 'The Kop' end; which is a bit strange since the East Stand is actually the largest stand and is lengthwise; it'd have been more practical to designate either the North or South Stand to be the Kop end since both stands face the goal mouth.

I actually asked one of their people, and he told me that they were trying to turn it into a real Kop atmosphere with cheers, songs ..and even a copy of the massive flag we see at Anfield...granted, it won't be as impressive...which is why they're using the largest stand..

If yesterday was anything to go by, the squad isn't going to get much training done. They were all staggering around in the heat from start to finish. I just hope we do win the match, just to irritate Peter 'Galen' Reid, the daft simian squirt.

It was,Gene.

Mike, that was early on...it wsa filled up later.

Anyway, who cares.

It was a bunch of glory-hunting Mancs.

A Red mate of mine told me that a 15 year old cousin of his has decided to support the Mancs after going to the game.

My mate was pissed off because he had been a 'casual' Red for some time; I just told him this was exactly the kind of Scum we didn't need.

It was during the match. Look at how the seats were not all filled. And a large bare patch on the upper level.

Anyways, we do hope the atmosphere in Thailand & Singapore will be fantastic. My son says, without Gerrard, he only know one song! Silly boy, two songs at least! YNWA & the Toress Bounce.

The Singapore Fan Club is trying to distribute some song lyrics including YNWA and FOAR (obviously), Rafa Rafael, a sanitized Gerrard song :🙂, the Torres song, Carra's song, We won it 5 Times...and a few others..

Too bad tho, there are loads of great songs...but many won't resonate with Asian Reds. 🙁

Our chances aren't great Macca. I've just found out that this 'Thailand' place is in fact - a country.

How's that fucking fair? We're just a team. A team that comes from a city that comprises of three professional teams, and now we're supposed to compete against a whole country!

Thailand will give LFC a good fight and possibly win. Thailand will beat Malaysia anytime. Thailand would have won against the Man U in KL too.

Yes, Thailand is definitely stronger than Malaysia.

I'm hoping they'll have acclimatized by the weekend and hammer Singapore tho ;D

Just checked, and yes, yes I can confirm it definitely is a country. It's near China.

Well stone me. When I heard Liverpool were playing 'Thailand', I automatically assumed the team were playing a computer game, or something from the Chronicles of Narnia.

Did you see the press conference yesterday? God that was dire. Huge silences between even more silly questions than normal, Rafa looking like he'd been told dinner was cancelled, Glen Johnson referring to Liverpool as 'they' all the time as he seemed on the verge of passing out through heat stroke. Painful to watch.

Glenjo needs some new words, or a thesaurus. If I hear him say "obviously" one more time, I'll cry the internet down.

Yes! ;D And it'll be dangerous when Stevie's back: 'Do you fancy me, Glen?' 'Obviously...'

(It's ironic footballers love the word 'obviously,' because most of them clearly DON'T find anything 'obvious' off the pitch. 'You have to pay tax'. 'REALLY???' :🙂)

Haha, true.

Footballisms players use ad nauseum:

"Obviously"
"At the end of the day"
"Gonna be a tough test"
"One week at a time"
"Give it our best shot"
"No game at this level is easy"

Yeah but imagine playing someone like Trinidad and Tobago, that's like two countries innit.
