Either these are AWFUL at defending corners or we've improved.
I'm guessing the former.

I think he has Maribor in his thoughts nowSo we start playing well and he makes a change.

I'm a realist. If we do this from corners for another few weeks I'll change my mind in the face of the new evidence! You're not giving us any credit, are you? [emoji6]
He was offside from the original pass though?Nope, the defender played it on, so he wasn't offside.
Yeah, so if the defender didn't play it on he was offside. The defender did though, so he wasn't offside. He was offside from the original pass though?
I've always assumed that the defenders touch was irrelevant, so that it would go back to the touch before it, the Liverpool player, as it was part of the same "phase of play" or however it's called in the new rules.Yeah, so if the defender didn't play it on he was offside. The defender did though, so he wasn't offside.
Its one of the few aspects of offside that is still clear cut. Ish.
If a defender plays the ball forwards the offside is moot. Hence why attackers crowd the keeper on goal kicks, if a defender tries to pass back they can legally win the ball & try to score.
