Liverpool related transfer speculation

Of course you would. Its just not any international game though. Its the second biggest game of international football out there.
But, lets use David Silva as an example then. Probably the smallest midfielder you can find and still one of the best to play for City in the PL.

The days of this "would get beat up in our physical league" are all but over in my opinion anyway. Most teams actually try to play football. Its more about intensity and the pace of the game. He'll handle both in my view.

There is a reason to why Edwards and Hughes love this guy.

Disagree with your views on the physical side of things. The top teams in the prem all have some muscle in the middle, or at least someone who can handle themselves. Arsenal have rice and partay, city have rodri(look what his loss has done), chelsea have caicedo. Yes its about playing football, but you still need to win the midfield battle as well.

Saying edwards and hughes loves this guy means nothing considering they brought in Chiesa. Hughes has done nothing yet to say we should trust him.

Yes, true, but there is nothing to support that this guy can't handle the physical side of the league. To be honest I don't see an issue when watching him play. The guy isnt lightweight nor does he shy out of tackles. His style of play is both physical and technical.

Chiesa was signed as a cheap option and in all honesty he was a 100 mill player 2 seasons ago.
Worth the punt and we'll get our money back with a profit when we sell. But yes, not a lot of good will so far.

How do you play him and grav when they're so alike?

Thank you
Khaled

I think Zubimendi would generally be the deeper of the two. But in terms of physicality, it’s not too different from Gravvy and Macca playing together.
I am concerned that Zubi could be too lightweight against certain opposition in the holding role, but fine against others. I also think he can play the Macca role when needed in a more efficient way than Jones does. So, I could definitely see Gravy and Zubi in the same lineup from time-to- time. In short, more depth in multiple roles.

I do not think Silva is a good comparison, because he played further forward. Harvey is a better comparison to Silva.

I've seen enough of Robinson to think he can be a better LB replacement than that Bournemouth boy.
He had great game at both ends of the pitch. Was very solid and dangerous.

I wonder how much Fulham will ask for him
For fucks sake, its just an LB but no doubt we get charged loads. Is there no one in the academy ?

He’d be 28 start of next season. It won’t happen.

Yeah, Robinson is excellent and probably one of the best left backs in the league. But at 27 and with 3,5 years left on his contract it aint happening.

Didn't know he was an Everton youth player and played for Wigan. Shame we didnt pick him up earlier.

Owen Beck is our next LB

Beck has made the left-back position his own after an impressive debut at Burnley. The only disappointment has come in the form of a late sending-off at Preston, which saw him sit out three games.

He has been all action, shown excellent one-on-one defending and is equally impressive going forward. He has taken on set-piece responsibilities too.

It is fair to say that Rovers fans have already taken him to their hearts.
Blackburn are currently 5th in the championship 5 points off auto promotion with a game in hand

Beck scored the 2nd in a 2-0 victory yesterday:

Blackburn Rovers boss John Eustace:

"Owen Beck's a top player. We're really lucky to have him here. Top young player, learning his trade. His attitude is fantastic, he's got good experience behind him with Harry Pickering so he's growing and improving all the time."

Cunha isnt the right player for us. 25 years old and 1 season with more than 10 goals. Poor attitude and doesn't seem to be a team player at all. I'd stay well clear of that one.
