EVERY decision is in the hands of the referee, you twat. If the ref's watch hadn't buzzed to tell him their 1st had crossed the line and we'd gotten the draw, would their fans be "whining" for complaining about a game changing error? Would they fuck. Rules are there for a reason and expecting them to be applied by the officials is not "looking to be bailed out". Doesn't mean we're not shite. Doesn't mean chelsea weren't better. DOES mean that we should have gotten a penalty.

Chelsea are obviously a good side and they have some tricky forwards. But they were far from unbeatable today.
I wouldn't say any of the players had a poor game except of course Johnson who is a perpetual weak point. Balotelli put in a good shift up front but we all know that it doesn't work playing him on his own, but Rodgers will persist with this failed tactic.
After Can's brilliant goal, instead of keeping up the pressure, we spent most of the rest of the game passing the ball sideways and backwards, often putting Mignolet into difficulties. We did not really create another decent chance. I think this tactical failure must be again down to Rodgers.

The Mignolet thing is really annoying, it's like we're forcing his flaws to the forefront all the time. We piss around maintaining possession, risking it much of the time by putting ourselves under pressure, only to play a pass back to him and for him to hoof it straight back to the opponents. It's ridiculous.
Also why does the whole team have to defend a set piece. If we do get a clearance the fucking ball arrives back in almost as soon as it left
And I don't think the defenders have much spatial awareness. They seem to get disoriented incredibly easily. Teams send three players to stand in a huddle on the penalty area, causing three of ours to stand with them, then the opponents spin off in different directions and our defenders look utterly lost. They might as well stick to defending zones and avoid that kind of manipulation, schoolboy stuff though it is.
And Henderson's really in a shocking run of form isn;t he? He's slowly turning into Lucas with most of his passes going sideways. We have zero attacking threat in midfield from Gerrard (sitting deep), Henderson (terrible) or Allen (can't do it). Only Can and Coutinho look capable of adding to our attacking threat.
