Kyrgiakos > Skrtel?

Ryan, I don't see the point in this, if you waste a lot of money on transfers AND get consistently dire performances, generally it leads to a sacking. All these other managers whose transfer failures you could itemize, have either enjoyed consistent success, or enjoyed historic success for their club in the past.

38.5M on a crocked Aquilani and a right back, when we were desperately short of skill and pace on the wings and back up for Torres. It was a massive risk. It hasn't worked. Our horrible form is always going to bring criticism of our transfers, and you don't have to look far.

Yes every manager does make mistakes and yes often Benitez does move his mistakes on quickly but doing that a few times is good, doing it year after year is not.
Its just exchanging shit players for different shit players. Doesn't help us progress, which of course we haven't particularly.

As for the Greek, as I said before having a big lad at the back can be useful but we why are we constantly adapting to the way shit opposition play? Can't we play our own game and let them adapt to us? Puts us on the back foot from the start.

Not having a go, cos I quite like Darius Danesh at centre half, but if he plays at the Emirates in 2 wks time, we will get fucking murdered.

Mustard in the air against the big fellas, but cant same the same against small footballing type attackers.

Exactly what I said last week.

Any reason why he's been good of late? Because we've played Stoke, Wolves, and Spurs whose primary tactic is to lump the cunt out of it to a big man. Playing straight into The Greek's favoured style of defending.

Against an Arshavin, a Rooney, RVP, etc etc - He'd get oiled up and bumraped. Then you'll all be "Another shit Rafa signing" as opposed to this weeks "shrewd business" chat.

Spurs is not equal to Stoke in terms of play imo.

Anyways I'm not that fickle, so unless he actually turnes shite I'll stand by my initial post that he's actually turning out to be a rather shrewd signing. One I prefer to play at this stage than Skrtel who really seems to struggle.

Saw this elsewhere. ha.

O... KYRIAGOS, THE ONE AND ONLY, HE IS A LOON.
WE SAID HIS DAYS ARE NUMBERED NOW HE PLAYS HERE EVERY WEEK,
WE CANT PRONOUNCE HIS SURNAME SO WE CALL HIM NICK THE GREEK.
O... KYRIAGOS...

He's been amongst our top performers for weeks now.

Great to see.

Indeed so.

He's turning into a very important player for us at this stage.

Apart from one header in the 93rd minute he won everything in the air against Bolton and Davies.

He played a game in the reserves alongside Ayala and amazingly Ayala totally dominated in the air the whole game.

Our best centre back thus far this season

Albeit only beeing for a few games I'm affraid you're right.

He's certainly got some of those crucial attributes that Sami used to bring to table as well.

Why's that surprising? Ayala is massive.

Kyrgiakos apparently lost a tooth in the game against Bolton.

I heart the Greek.
