Kenwyne Jones loan deal done?

I don't think so...

Saw San Jose play for Bilbao as they beat Real Madrid at the weekend. Not bad. Is he on loan or have we sold him?

He's been playing quite a bit. He's done quite well.

Edit: too many "quite's" sorry

Quite.

The Kenwyne Jones thing is turning into another typical Liverpool transfer.................complicated.
I blame Rick

Do you hold any hope of it even happening?

Cos I don't. I see absolutely no reason why Sunderland would let him go out on a free, and I see no reason why we'd be able to conjure up 12M odd.

Doubt it will be another Barrygate. Longest Transfer Saga Ever.

Well it wont't be due to the limited life of the window, but if it was possible we would.
Why can't we ever go for players clubs are actually willing to sell.
It was to fucking easy to go for Van Nistelrooy wasn't it

I can't myself either. I presumed when we first went for him fat head was open to A) The idea of Babel and B) Getting shut of Jones.
It now transpires that he thought neither was a good idea, which is sensible of him

Why would people think anyone would want to do us a favour, it beats me.

We were linked to Saha at one point too. As if they'd want to do business.

Yup.

It took us more than 1 week to finalise Maxi's transfer, after the initial report surfaced. I guess this one too, will take more than 1 week to complete, especially when we're not even paying peanuts to sunderland.

Possibilities and Options:

Listed:
1) Ruud
2) Jones
3) Chamakh
4) Serbian
5) Unknowns

Ruud, too simple a transfer expensive, next
Jones complicated, ah ha, lets pursue that, that is the Liverpool way, nothing comes easy
Cham... standby and red herring
Serbian? just in case all of the above falls through
Unknown is the joker in the pack, free and cannot score but he runs like mad and gives us possibilities because he can play anywhere except in goal.

Conclusion: Unknown signed!

Yes indeed. Time is a little tight however I'm sure he'll be signed and registered for Wednesday. Piece of cake.

But knowing Rafa, he will say Jones need more time in training blah blah blah. So don't count on it.

So far every dog and their owners who can write seem to say there is no deal. Will the Echo stand by its news?

There are reports coming from the Mirror that Birmingham have made third offer for Babel, with an extra £10k a week and guarantee of playing up front.
If that is the case, and they can persuade Babel it would effectively be a swap for Jones

I know it shouldn't be posted in here.......

10.25 Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has admitted he might have to leave AC Milan to secure regular football, although he would be open to a loan move so he can still have a future with the Italian club.

..... but I'd rather Huntelaar on loan than Kenwyne Jones.

Huntelaar on loan is a no brainer.

And of course thats the reason we won't go for him.

Damn, I want him to go abroad. I have a feeling, and hopefully I'm wrong, that he will do well in England with a different type of manager and while up front ...

I agree re; Babel. Much prefer him to go abroad.

I thought the same about Cisse, though, and he didn't quite do as well as I thought he would
