I kind of agree, I don't think many think Riera was a bad player, it's just that he wasn't as good as he though he was, and it was his arrogance that annoyed people more than anything. He gave us good balance and was a steady player, nothing great or spectacular.

I kind of agree, I don't think many think Riera was a bad player, it's just that he wasn't as good as he though he was, and it was his arrogance that annoyed people more than anything. He gave us good balance and was a steady player, nothing great or spectacular.
Riera had excellent control, a good left foot, and generally kept possession well, but he was slow in both body and mind. Jovanovic has different qualities and different flaws. Time will tell if he's what we've been looking for on the left. I'm not madly hopeful though, I must admit.

Suarez is £10M striker in my opinion.
Iv'e watched a lot of him last Season and although he scored an impressive ammount of goals it's worth to mention that I don't think I've seen a player miss more chances than him either.
Maybe I'm wrong here but I wouldn't be pleased if we spunked an excessive ammount on this player. Not really fond of his lack of sportsmanship either.

KHL, it's hard to knock 33 goals in 36 games...and doesn't Torres miss his fair share of chances too? Still, there's something I am missing/don't know if he's going to end up staying at Ajax.

Milan Jovanovic claims he will never forget the moment he heard his name ring around Anfield for the first time on Sunday.
It often takes new signings months or even years to earn a chant from the Kop - but the Serbian had to wait just two games following an impressive display against Arsenal.
Supporters went wild when he barged defender Bacary Sagna off the ball in the opening period - then sang his name as he was replaced by Maxi Rodriguez on 65 minutes.
"It felt very special. I am very happy and I'll never, ever forget that day and that moment," Jovanovic told Liverpoolfc.tv.
"I was very proud. Playing for Liverpool is something special. It's not the same as playing for other clubs."
The 29-year-old had a great opportunity to open his Barclays Premier League account in the first half only to shoot over with just Manuel Almunia to beat.
"Maybe I could have done better but I hope to do that next time," he added.
Next up for Jovanovic and co is the visit of Trabzonspor tonight for the first leg of our Europa League play-off.
Roy Hodgson is sure to have plenty of information on the Turkish side - but our new winger has been doing a bit of scouting of his own.
"I have tried to receive some information from my friends who play in the Turkish championship and they tell me we are playing a very good Turkish team," he said. "They will try to make a surprise at Anfield, so we have to be careful, we have to concentrate.

"It's not an easy game. In modern football such games don't exist. It's a difficult game. Of course we are favourites but we won't pass through to the next round unless we work hard.
"It's never easy to go out to Turkey either so it's important we get a good result at Anfield."
Hodgson led Fulham to the Europa League final last term and Jovanovic is confident the Reds can go one better this time around.
However, he hopes not to be playing in the competition in 2011-12.
"It's a big chance for us to win a very important trophy," said the forward. "It's a strong competition, especially this year with teams like Juventus. They're a very big European team.
"But I really hope we will be in the Champions League next season. I hope we can get in the top four and it's just one season of Europa League football."
