John Henry... Taste the words. Kenny Dalglish is not good enough for Liverpool FC according to John Henry. Kenny Dalglish who first made his mark when Kevin Keegan dropped us for Reeperbahn. We didn't even notice he was gone and won everything that was worth winning and more so before the Heysel tragedy left us all in limbo. Already King then he took the hot seat and led us to the famous double in his first season. I can promise you all that if we hadn't been banned from Europe we would have been breathing Real Madrid down the neck in number of CL trophies by now. The shame of England became the pride of England under King, and we played the best football any PL team has ever played under him. Forget City this year.... Liverpool under Dalglish was better. He was barely 40 when he carried the club, the city and the Kingdom in his arms after Hillsbouruogh. He needed a brake, and has never been welcomed back for some strange reason, until we were crippled under Roy Hodgson. The he came back in, filled up a half empty Anfiled and won us our first trophy for 6 years, taking us to another final.

This man is not good enough for Liverpool FC according to John Who? How the hell can Jehn Henry decide that he is not good enough?? Apparently because it is his club... And when I concluded that is the only reason, I also understood that he is right. It is his club... it is not mine our your or ours anymore. It is his club. He expect me to support his club. I am not sure anymore... Support is passionate, and my passion is not for sale... I couldn't sell it if I wanted. It lays much deeper... But at least he made me realize it in a cruel way. Sometimes you need a wake up call.

how do they? jesus people are acting like he's some dictator, he did it for the club, the results wernt good enough so he made a decision to try and get winning ways back at liverpool

Question sir - the next manager comes in, wins nothing and finishes 6th - Does Henry keep him or not? Do you want him gone or not?

if FSG aren't bigger than the club they are doing a good job of disguising that fact. take for instance the club badge, forced through with not so much as a by or leave from the fans.

depends if there was progress, kenny did well at first but his signing and tactics this season had us regressing

one day its a great decision and a return to the badge of our glory days the next its a forced insignia of our tyrant owners? ok

What the fuck are you going on about ?

I said:
So we stop supporting LFC?

You said:

"You can't. It's impossible. You can limit to what level you support them though"

So we start chanting for Kenny/Whoever every time one of their chosen fail?

I LOVE the new badge, I'm saying it was forced through with no say from the fans. FSG can and will do whatever the fuck they want.

So basically, a season where we stagnate or struggle remotely will result in the manager being fired ... There we signs of progress in the season, and while it WAS disappointing, we won a cup and should have won two. That is progress - albeit minimal. I just hope Henry gets the next selection right, or we fucked. And I think you can see that too.

When did Henry say this, the quotes I saw suggested they took hard decision.

whoever they sign has to have a long term view in mind. we can't (or rather wont) buy our way out of trouble therefore we have to rely on finding talent and developing players and you don't do that over night (you could argue newcastle did it over night but we'll see how they do next season).

we were extremely lucky to win the carling cup

You're damn right - it was those flukey victories against Chelsea and Man City that really make me giggle.
cup competitions arnt really about how you play on average though are they? thats the league (which we did shit in) and we struggled massively against a cardiff side that played shit, we only got through cause by some miraculous chance on the day they were shitter than us on pens

We were extremely lucky to win the Champions League and FA Cup under Rafa - is that what you said when we won those too?

Cut the shit - who cares HOW you win a trophy - whichever it is - it's a trophy. I would hope that was good enough for you, judging by that comment - I guess it's not. Chalk off most of Ged's trophies too! 🙁

Noone is claiming we were great in the league. But I was responding to your statement that we were lucky to win the leagu cup.

I guess you are also one of those who think we were lucky to win the European cup in 2005. For every silver lining I am sure you are front of the queue to find the black cloud
