I just don't rate a player who's flattered to deceive most of his career, done nothing the last couple of years and to top that, make him our highest paid player. Don't make it into something that it's not. I'm not obliged to agree with you.

I can't believe Arsenal would pay him that much anyway. If there's any truth in it, it has to be Tottenham.

He'd get a massive signing-on fee anyway, given that he's on a Bosman. I don't see why that would be counted as being part of his weekly wages.

Spurs seems the most likely destination to me, but I'd love us to sign him instead.

Joe Cole would be a great signing for us, especially if the formation given by someone above is employed (Cole in the hole and SG in MF with Jovanovic on the left). Quality player, no fee (good players are paid high wages so I don't see what the big deal is here so long as they are well behind the likes of Torres & SG) and those Chavs thoroughly pissed off.

I'd be delighted and surprised if he signed for us. I don't see why he would, though, given all the uncertainty around the club at the moment.

I don't see what's in it for him. We don't pay the highest wages, we aren't in the CL and we aren't near London where his family and friends are. Why would he choose us?

Maybe he's optimistic about our future. We've convinced him we have some big money owners coming in, so there will be big signings to follow, back in the CL next season. A chance to play for LFC, why wouldn't he come to us?

i was really excited for a second then. When i logged on earlier there were only 5 pages and the rumour of Cole signing was dying fast..... then i log on and see there were 12 pages.

I truely thought there had been some HUGE news.. i almost pissed myself.

but noooo... a simple merge.
