They say no news is good news, no ones even been linked with him since his so called medical with us, wonder if he's now house hunting on merseyside?
He's buying Zidane's old place on the cheap.

Apparently there's strange skull shaped dents in all the plaster.

Some risks are worth taking, especially when we're strapped for cash. If we are in for him I hope he'll get a real bastard of a medical anyway, not least because of the Harry Cool fiasco.

I remember well how excited I was when we signed Kewell. It's fair to point out that he had a great first season for us before the injuries ruined the remainder of his Liverpool career.
He did do well to start with, and like you I was made up with the signing. One or two Yorkshire-based Reds did warn us before Kewell arrived, though, that his attitude was variable to say the least. Here's hoping lightning doesn't strike twice if we do get Cole now.

The fastest Harry Karry Kewell moved was running to celebrate us winning Big Ears in 05, and he was supposed to be injured then.....

The fans who go to the games always know best. When we signed Collymore, the Forest fans said that Stan was OK but chose his matches in which he was going to perform, and that proved absolutely right.

Ulreka said he had a good left foot

Did he really punch and butt the poor girl?
Yep.

It was Ulrika Johnson. I dont condone violence against women ever, but there's at least some semblance of an excuse there! 😉

I also like Ulrika Jonsson.

She seems like a friendly sort of woman.

😉

I haven't had my turn yet but I am sure it will come eventually.

I wish you'd stop talking about UJ. Every time I see a new post I think Joe has completed his medical
Sorry to raise your hopes, Jack. Shit, I've done it again.

Looks like we're doing a proper job on the physical. He's been on the running machine for 3 days.

First pics of him after his physical. Apparently we've given him the all clear!

So the medical made him wear those or the medical strained caused it?

Both Arsenal and Spurs have a wage cap at around 80k, and with Cole reportingly wanting 100-120k that could prove a stumbling block. If you believe the media, we have aswell given him a proposal of a contract around the 80k mark.

He has said his decision will be based on a team were he can be a first timer and with a manager that believes in him.

That narrows it to Spurs and us. He wants to play more central though, and I feel his best shot would be us if thats the case.
I would love if Roy pushed Gerrard down central again, and played Joe Cole behind Torres. That would be fucking fantastic.

Forget every negative word and injuries, the lad is great and for free is a no brainer.

I agree that the idea of Joe Cole is better than the reality. That said, we´re desperately in need of an injection of quality into the squad and we can´t afford to do that in the same way the clubs around us can. In that respect getting someone like Cole on a free is a bit of a godsend, but whether that remains the case if we pay him 100k plus a week on wages I´m not so sure. Can we afford yet another incredibly costly injury prone player? Will it leave enough in the pot for other players?

I think he's worth 100k per week.

As a reference,

Cole on a free transfer: 100K per week x4 years = roughly 21mil
A 10m signing on decent wage: 70K per week x4 years = roughly 25mil

With the money we have (or don't have) I can't think of a better quality signing.

I still think he'll end up at Arsenal.

If not then probably Spurs.

Apperantly Harry Redknapp commented at the charity golf tour that Joe Cole will be a Liverpool player next week ...

Interesting..

Fingers crossed. Our bench will look better too with Jovanovic, Skrtel, Insua (if he doesn't go), Kelly, Ayala, Maxi, Lucas, Peatacho and other new signings.
