January/summer targets

Being fleet of foot and a handful in possession is far different from having the full package (defending, pressing, passing and crossing - the last supposedly Traore's weakness, not so clever for a winger) ! Bloody hell is he fast though.
Yeah clearly the fastest i have seen. Knew it would be tough to contain him. Caused arsenal all sorts of issues.

Anyone see the Norwich v Huddersfield game? Danny Ward was excellent and the lad who scored both Huddersfield goals was brilliant - Elias Kachunga. Keep an eye on him especially with the Klopp-Wagner connection

Gabriel Barbosa
Reported Liverpool target Gabriel Barbosa could leave Inter Milan in January due to the lack of game time with Premier League side ready to make a move for the Brazilian forward. Gabriel has just played 16 minutes of Serie A football this season and according to his agent Wagner Ribeiro, the striker is feeling humiliated.
In an interview with Football Italia, Riberio said: "I talk to him constantly. Everyone knows the salary which Gabriel receives at Inter isn’t sustainable for Santos, no club [in Brazil] can afford him.
“I was contacted by a club from Rio and one from Minas to take Gabriel on loan, but I can’t guarantee anything. What I want is for my client to no longer be humiliated. Why isn’t he playing? Not even Inter can answer that."

Gabriel Barbosa, also known as Gabigol is already looking for a new club and Liverpool are interested in bringing the talented striker to Premier League in January. Jurgen Klopp is still struggling to find a regular centre-forward to his starting XI after the recent injuries to Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge.
Divock Origi is currently playing as the front man for Liverpool, but Klopp wants a more mobile and prolific striker to lead the line for his team. Gabigol has scored over 50 goals for Santos and also broke into Brazil’s senior side earlier in the year. Despite signing a 5-year contract with Inter, things have gone well for the 20-year-old who is once again being linked with a transfer move in January.
Coutinho advocating a move for Gabigol

Prior to his move to Inter Milan, Gabigol spoke exclusively to TMW and revealed how Coutinho had regular talks with him and assured that Inter were the right option for him. TMW also reported that Coutinho once tried to advocate Gabigol’s move to Liverpool, however, the club hierarchy did not approve of the transfer.
However, Coutinho’ s role could become vital to Liverpool’s hope of signing Gabigol as the striker rates the Liverpool playmaker as one of his closest friends in the game. Inter Milan would not allow Gabigol to leave for cheap and Liverpool could have to cough up something in the region of €20million to sign the striker.
Is Gabigol the right fit for Liverpool?

At the age of 20, Gabriel Barbosa is far from being the finished article, however, at present he is regarded as the better striker than Divock Origi. Gabigol also has a strong physical presence which would also allow Liverpool to play long balls and hope for the Brazilian to hold the play and bring others in the action.
Gabigol’s pace and finishing abilities would allow Liverpool to play on the counter-attack and hurt oppositions with direct play. At €20million, Gabigol looks like the ideal option available in January for Jurgen Klopp to go after given Sadio Mane’s month-long absence due to African Cup of national.

Yes please for Gabigol, we should be using Firmino, Coutinho and ah hmmm Lucas to try and tempt him.

Gabigol Firmino Coutinho front three is very tempting.

Chelsea also interested though.

A fast, goal scoring attacker would be a welcome addition

I'd also like a goalkeeper, defender and midfielder, but they seem less likely for some odd reason

Gabigol would be a dream signing, although I have no idea why Inter are not using him.

Young prospect from Santos is always a definite yes.... it means he will become the next Neymar 100%

dream signing? Not so much - coutinho like potential for excellent player? I guess he isn't getting much game time - like Coutinho - at a bang average Inter club - like Coutinho again. SIGN SIGN SIGN!

Binomial is very hard to read.

At times he seems to be genuinely retarded, and at other times he seems to be *pretending* to be genuinely retarded.

Of course the end product is the same, but it's hard to gauge the motivation

You guys are getting too excited! Normally you guys grill me for my links, but not one mention of the spuriousness nature of this article.

Dream in a way that we never sign prospects directly from Brazil....the last player I think was Lucas?

If i were Klopp now i'd sign Gabigol, Gabriel Jesus, Giuliano & Fabinho

4 Sexy brazilians

The latter two should work. Theyre names just flow with our current front men.

Any chance we might sign a good keeper. Not you know, another Adrian Mole style bag o nerves. Sorry to open the Pandora's box there lads.

Liverpool interested in signing 15-year-old Ajax talent Jord Ruijgrok

Dec 2, 2016 13:20:00
The Dutch team are hoping that the goalkeeper will reject any approaches from the Reds, and other English teams, to continue his development in Amsterdam

Liverpool are interested in recruiting young Ajax goalkeeper Jord Ruijgrok as the club looks to further strengthen their impressive academy, Goal understands.

The Reds have been closely following the progress of the Dutch talent, who, at 15, would only be eligible to sign a professional contract next year.
Ajax are hopeful the teenager will ignore any approach from the Merseysiders - one of several English sides monitoring the goalkeeper- to continue his development in Amsterdam.

Ruijgrok is one of several youngsters under consideration by Liverpool, who are determined to develop their academy into one of the best in the world.
The Reds saw an academy star hit the headlines on Tuesday night as 17-year-old midfielder Ben Woodburn became the club's youngest ever scorer by finding the net against Leeds.

Having been handed his debut by Jugen Klopp in the Premier League win over Sunderland, Woodburn smashed home in front of the Kop to beat Michael Owen's record by 98 days.

The big question is:

Is he better than Lucas?
