January/summer targets

Not sure about Draxler. He looks great in spurts, but overall in his career he so far flatters to deceive. A German Barkley.

On that note it'll never happen, but I reckon Barkley would flourish under Klopp. There's massive potential there.

[article]Liverpool are eyeing a move for Newcastle United skipper Jamaal Lascelles. It is understood that the Reds have been keeping tabs on the Magpies’ former England Under-21 defender in recent weeks.

And they could make a big money January move for the 23-year-old, who has previously been linked with a switch to fellow Premier League title-chasers Chelsea. Liverpool sent a representative to scout Lascelles during last weekend’s 4-0 win over Birmingham at St James’s Park. And it is understood that they will watch the United captain again in the coming weeks, with a view to potentially making a bid for Lascelles in the winter window. Jurgen Klopp is said to be targeting defensive reinforcements at Anfield next month, as he looks to become the first Merseyside boss to deliver the league title since 1990. In October, reports surfaced that Antonio Conte’s Blues could make an £18 million bid, a move which was later played down by the player himself, who declared his want to remain on Tyneside. Having been handed the armband in the summer, Lascelles has been one of the stand out performers in Rafa Benitez’s men’s charge to the top of the Championship table.

It is unlikely that United will entertain bids for the former Nottingham Forest man, who was rumoured to be interesting the Reds prior to sealing a £7million move to United, along with keeper Karl Darlow in the summer of 2014. Meanwhile, former boss Alan Pardew is eyeing a January raid for full-back Paul Dummett. Palace find themselves in a Premier League relegation battle despite significant summer investment, which included nabbing England winger Andros Townsend from St James’s Park. But, despite some calls for his head, Pardew is set to be backed in January by the Selhurst Park board. And Dummett could fit the bill for the Eagles.

The 25-year-old academy graduate was linked with a move to Palace in the summer, but remained on Tyneside, and has since become an integral part of Benitez’s promotion-chasing outfit. With Achraf Lazaar set to head to the African Cup of Nations, it’s unlikely United will allow Dummett to leave. [/article]

The same league that paid £47m for Hulk

Not sure about him to be honest. Seems to have all the pace in the World but is he good enough.
He's fucking 20 years old and built like a tank. I'd have him over any young winger in our club. Imagine the space he'd get in our team.

Thats because if there was only one player he could simply kick the ball forward, and run past him.
Hence why I think he's dangerous. OK, there's like 20 players I'd have ahead of Traoré but he still impressed me yesterday, especially with him only being 20 years old.

I think kick and run merchant is a bit unfair on him, he showed a bit of game intelligence with his runs yesterday , it was hardly headless chicken behaviour , showed a couple of decent touches but he lost possession more times than can be counted, I doubt klopp would be interested at this point

We are guilty of doing what we criticise our scouts for doing, which is going after players who we think played well against us. Traore hasn't even earned a regular starting slot with Boro, who possess one of the league's bluntest attacks. Not worth our attention.

Being fleet of foot and a handful in possession is far different from having the full package (defending, pressing, passing and crossing - the last supposedly Traore's weakness, not so clever for a winger) ! Bloody hell is he fast though.

Yeah he's fast, just look at what Mané has added to our team.

I'd say Ojo is a more exciting talent.
Traore has a lot of pace but lack game intelligence. Yes, he's 20 but he might end up being a mid table PL player. That pace isnt enough for me.
He left Barca for fricking Aston Villa.

I'm scratching my head trying to think of a player who has gone to a midtable or bottom team from a top team while clearly being too good for them and later moving on to a better team.

The only one I can think of is Van der Saar.
