I damn sure didn't believe Charlie Adam would be much of a signing.

Tbh I don't think anyone thought a player with the engine of a moblity scooter would be much of a signing.

Mcginn could run for days, 1 of the fittest players in the league behind Hendo.

We've already got runners. Can we buy someone that could actually walk into our line up?

Our first XI is hard to break into without spending 80..., 90m +

Only position you'd really say is up top but I'd just through Jota in there and sign another cover for Mane/Salah .... Origi & Minamino not up to stratch.

We need a striker for fucks sake.

And we'll all think he'd be brilliant at both so long as he remains injured and unable to prove us wrong.

If we don't get our main targets then why not, very good player.

If we can’t get our main targets and have £50m to spend- McGinn would not be what I would be spending it to on.

Well maybe but heres this. Apart from a couple of blunders (Naby, Ox) our transfer savvy is the envy of the football world. Certainly up there. Edwards is revered and rightly so. If he goes for someone I for one trust him. Probably because I know fuck all about this dude...Then again does anyone? Really? Have faith man.

All I'm saying is I think he's a very good player, I get to most fans he may not be the exciting player we all crave for but who's to say we'll sign that type?

I’m not suggesting that McGinn isn’t a decent player, nor that we don’t need a player like him to replace Gino, or even that we shouldn’t trust Edwards.

I am suggesting that we’re unlikely to commit £50m to a transfer without selling someone high profile.

I am also suggesting that, if we did have £50m to spend (after already spending on Konate) - we do need a Gini replacement and another forward to play through the centre and put a bit of pressure on Bobbi, and spending it all on McGinn makes no sense.

Somewhere around the £30m mark - represents a decent deal - but £50m doesn’t.

Camavigna at £30m arguably represents a much better deal.

In reality - I don’t think we’re buying anyone of note - not the end of the world - but it does suggest stagnation and a holding period at best.

I just saw Harry Kane's respones:

Jesus man, here's an opportunity to at least develop some sort of likeable personality, try some kind of humor like Kasper. But no. He deadpans it and just looks like a boring bastard.

That's because he IS a boring bastard, but he's a boring bastard who's running into form.

What a guy...

Conservative MP Lee Anderson is refusing to abandon his one-man boycott of his “beloved” England football team for taking the knee before matches – despite jubilation across the country at the team’s record-breaking success at the Euros.

The MP for Ashfield has been subjected to widespread mockery after declaring ahead of the tournament that he would not watch a single match because of the anti-racism gesture.

He had proclaimed in June: “”For the first time in my life I will not be watching my beloved England team whilst they are supporting a political movement whose core principles aim to undermine our very way of life.”

Where's @doctor_mac when you need him? I'm spinning jinxy - anti-jinx plates all over the place but here's the juice... It's coming home (Doc won't care about that) but the truth is.... (Annoying as it might be for the 'Anyone But England' posse). It's obviously in the bag..... Maybe.....😉
I had my Azzurri Wizard's robe on as soon as England scored.
