Do we need a RB ? Thought it might be Sanabria who Arsenal been heavily linked with

Maybe we are taking their Borrell replacement to become our Borrell replacement?

"watch the player"? I hope Ian Ayre isn't our chief scout...

Hmmm. Haven't quite made up my mind on this one. Interestingly he's really an attacking fullback like Johnson or others we have been linked with. I guess the low fee makes him an appealing candidate.

If hes signed then Kelly is pretty much done for, we would have Montoya at 22 who is pretty much the same age and McLaughlin at 19 who is considered our long term right back in the future

Things like this annoy me. It's out of focus, I mean how difficult is it, and for fucks sake a thumb in the picture ... :arghh:

I get the impression Kelly's done for anyway mate.

As for Montoya, we've been linked for ages, we've pounced on this because of his disagreements with Barca.

Personally, I think that he's more of a RB option with versatility being a added point. Haven't seen him in a full game though. Looks lean. Will he be able to handle the physical aspect of the English league?

Bringing Montoya would make a lot of sense. In the short term we need strong competition/cover for Johnson AND an option for LB - Montoya can provide on both counts. We also need to find a long-term replacement for Johnson. I've been saying for some time that we need to invest in fullbacks, because even our first-choice full-backs are not consistent enough and they don't have strong competition to punish them for their lack of consistency - for now we just have to live with their mistakes.

I predicted that we would buy a RB last summer, but that didn't happen - hopefully we can do it in January.

Yeah, in that positions we need to address thread, my priority was the fb slots. If this guy is any good, then it makes sense. I do think it might be time to take another look at Jack Robinson though. The early reports from Blackpool suggested he was playing really well.

From what little I've seen of him, he seems better defensively than Dani Alves. Also a very nice crosser.

I really like the good crosser part, besides from Gerrard, we lack decent crossers of the ball, something we definitely should look to add from our full backs. Is he ready for the first team though?

Just about ready, I would think. Already 6 starts in La Liga and Champs League this season and about 20 more starts in the last 2 seasons.

Bring back Stewie D.
