From the offic:

"Liverpool have tonight agreed a deal in principle with Celta Vigo for striker Iago Aspas, subject to documentation being completed."

He has joined! Welcome Aspas! 🙂

What is "KP"?

If thats accurate and we have signed him for 7 mil on 25k a week wages then that is seriously good business, its ridiculous to think Carroll wants 4 times more than that to move to the only club that wants him

Anybody know how much we have trimmed from the wage bill in the last 12 months?

Everyone leaves Ryan, its just a matter of when, why and for how much.

I'll have no probs with Aspa if he plays here for 2 years scores over 40 goals and doubles his value.
Really?!
Youd be happy for him to leave after two seasons of scoring 20 goals for £14m
You baffle me mate you really do.

Ok so let me rephrase I'd rather keep all our performing players but if they decide they want to go and compete at a level we aren't at at the time and they have contributed very positively to the team and will get us a much better fee than we paid for them, then I won't have any issues with the player.

I really don't get any of the hate towards Suarez. He wants to go to Madrid. You could probably name the total number of players in England who don't on 1 hand. He has been our best player by a country mile from the first minute he came until now. He's always talked of his admiration for our club and our fans but never once said he would stay for life. We all knew he would go 1 day, it just so happens its looking like this summer.

Any players that comes to Liverpool and perfoms like Suarez has will never get ill feelings from me.
Fuck it the 3-1 win at home to Utd where he beat them on his own was enough to guarantee that.

Yes they do

It's not a matter of everyone leaving at a certain time for a certain amount of money Dreamy. Otherwise we wouldn't have had players like Hamman, Hyypia, etc. Players can and do stay and see out their career with us if the surroundings are good enough.

But they all leave whether its through retirement or what not.

Suarez was always going to fall into the leave in the next few years category as will Aspa.

The when was to be expected as he is 1 of the best players on the planet at the moment

The why is because he wants to win and isn't get alot of over the top abuse (some is justified but not the amount he gets)

The amount will be up there with our biggest ever sales.

So ya I don't have any ill feelings towards him at all.

Hamman and Hyypia left us though! 🙂

I'm all for cutting people down to size when they deserve it (I've always defended the likes of Ryan and Brendan at their supposed worst over the years) but what's the point of chasing people around over petty points when it's reasonably obvious what point they're trying to make (even if, yes, they do often make a hash of it) - do people actually find it amusing or witty?

Perhaps we really did need the real mentalists - bring back Momo, Glock and the rest of them.

Celta teammate Krohn-Dehli on Aspas:

- He is a capable player, a good individualist. He is lightning quick and a good forward.

He also believes that Aspas will be a success in England can he keep up his form from this Season in La Liga.
