Do we need to start considering our homegrown quota?

Sturridge is going, Lallana is likely to join him and Milner isn't getting any younger.

It'll help if Brewster comes good but we're starting to look short.

We need 8 home grown players in the squad or we are limiting the number of players we have available for selection. Of the current senior squad Trent, Gomez, Ox, Henderson, Milner, Lallana and Clyne. With Ings, Sturridge and Solanke gone and seemingly Lallana and Clyne not far behind we either to be targetting players who qualify.

Either that or Brewster, Woodburn and Wilson get promoted to senior squad to make up the numbers. But we cant keep selling English players without replacing them.

Brewster will deffo be in the squad next season. I'm doubtful about the other 2, though I'd quite like us to hang on to Wilson.

Exactly, just like Fabregas counted as homegrown.

We registered 23 players - max. 25 - this does not include U21 players like

Gomez, Wilson, Ojo, Kent are/will all be 22 by the time squad is registered, so can count towards home-grown players quota.

Must be registered for 3 years at an English club before the age of 21. Robbo wont count, Hoever wont count for another 2 years.

If we start dropping subtle hints now, play a few race cards here and there, diversity, relate it to growing nationalism and brexit, and so on, I think we could get the quota abolished in the next couple of seasons.

There's no great reason for keeping Lallana. Even with Lovren he's a playmate for Mo. Lallana is perma-injured. Time for him to go.
