I almost want us out of the champions league, then we can just bin off rest of the season and finish mid table.
Right you are.Now that is crazy talk, right here. Have a word
Right you are.
I actually think we will get through here. Hopefully by the next round we will be in a better place.
I think he needs a break, similar to when he walked away from Dortmund or when Kenny left the first time. It's all gotten too much, his decision making has gone to shit and it's eroding confidence in him. Look at that team we sent out today against a Fulham side scrapping for their lives, that was dogshit, a load of random changes resulting in a team that looked like it hadn't a fucking clue what it was meant to be doing.
Good luck and stay safe till this shit is over.As a Liverpool fan I am not enjoying the current times. Growing up on the Kop 40 years ago I enjoyed a lot of the wisdom and humor of the older Kopites. They would put things in perspective when things weren't going well - which, admittedly, was not often back then. I think even now the match-day fans are better than those of most other clubs, and have been missed this season. But I am embarrassed by a lot of what I read on this site, especially the creator of this thread, who seems to be reveling in our current struggles - a new thread every week from somebody who had very little to say during our success. I don't understand that mentality - and I don't want to. I'm done here. I've found another Liverpool site which seems less toxic. I'll miss rurik's posts, but not a lot else.
I admire the optimism.Wolves and arsenal away are our next 2 games in the league. We can turn this around.
Turn what around? Nothing left to turn aroundWolves and arsenal away are our next 2 games in the league. We can turn this around.

I was about to post something similar except briefer and less eloquent.I've not posted much recently, because I haven't given two fucks about this season. I've watched maybe 2 or 3 of our last 10 games, and I find it difficult to give a fuck. Not because we're playing terribly, because god knows, I've watched us for 20+ years, and there have been Liverpool teams far far worse than this. Being in 7th or 8th place is hardly something we haven't experienced before, so that's hardly something we should lose our collective minds over.
The reason I don't give a fuck is because this season isn't football. Empty stadium football is pointless bullshit. If I have to endure one more season of this, I might go off football permanently. Is it any surprise that the league is being won at a canter by the most expensively assembled collection of soulless mercenaries who're least affected by empty stadiums?
Which is why applying any of the normal yardsticks to this season is totally nonsensical. This season is the strangest football season in living memory, so why we're losing our minds is beyond me.
Klopp's entire coaching philosophy is to build a side that feeds off the energy from the crowd. His lifeblood is entertaining the fans, bonding with them and being a part of them. This is a man who built one of the greatest Liverpool sides in 30 years winning the PL, the CL and World Club Championship. The euphoria of winning the league has been eroded by the one of the worst, most isolating and depressing years in our lifetime. Klopp hasn't received his reward - a crowded stadium going insane, the parade he do desperately wanted. And you're wondering why we're out of sorts?
Combine all that with personal tragedy, the worst injury crisis I can ever remember, and suddenly he's lost the dressing room?
Klopp is one of the true managerial greats of the last 30 years. The one thing I've learnt across all sports, is that you never doubt the absolute greats - they will prove you wrong.
This season is a complete aberration, for absolutely understandable reasons. I don't give two shits if we finish 10th. We'll be back once the world is a more normal place and crowds at Anfield are back. Klopp will be back. And we'll win the league again with him. I can guarantee it.
I am certainly not is the business of defending @Rosco as he is more than well capable of doing that himself but I doubt that he thinks that Klopp has lost the dressing room. I do know that he has always been an advocate for site activity and discussion and this site, while been less so than other fan sites, can be a bit of an echo chamber sometimes. I like my views to be challenged and this site is at it's best when there is proper, in depth, wholesome debate. As a Liverpool fan I am not enjoying the current times.
