Has he lost the dressing room then ?

Right you are.

I actually think we will get through here. Hopefully by the next round we will be in a better place.

Yes. Over two games we can still do well.
Some strong teams left though, if we can get past these lads.
But when if we get to the quarters, it is on.

Don't think he's lost the dressing room. He is however, stumbling around in the dark trying to come up with a decent line up. If you injure players like for like in any other team in the Prem they would all struggle. That's the biggest issue this season and some are losing sight of that.

It's a mad one. Its clear theres a fair few players who need shifting on. Jota looks ten times sharper than any of the other strikers.

It's a cliche but we need a scruffy win and get back to some sort of form.

No more midfielders in defence. Play players in their positions.

But overall, I don't think he's lost the dressing room. A cull would prove who's boss.

I don't think he has lost the dressing room, but he's lost the plot. If he makes it to the summer I think cooler heads will prevail, but he and the club need to be honest about this clusterfuck and the mixture of causes.

At this point my main fear is he won't make it to the summer, there's 10 games left and we are in freefall.

As a Liverpool fan I am not enjoying the current times. Growing up on the Kop 40 years ago I enjoyed a lot of the wisdom and humor of the older Kopites. They would put things in perspective when things weren't going well - which, admittedly, was not often back then. I think even now the match-day fans are better than those of most other clubs, and have been missed this season. But I am embarrassed by a lot of what I read on this site, especially the creator of this thread, who seems to be reveling in our current struggles - a new thread every week from somebody who had very little to say during our success. I don't understand that mentality - and I don't want to. I'm done here. I've found another Liverpool site which seems less toxic. I'll miss rurik's posts, but not a lot else.

I think he needs a break, similar to when he walked away from Dortmund or when Kenny left the first time. It's all gotten too much, his decision making has gone to shit and it's eroding confidence in him. Look at that team we sent out today against a Fulham side scrapping for their lives, that was dogshit, a load of random changes resulting in a team that looked like it hadn't a fucking clue what it was meant to be doing.

That's a bit harsh, - I think what Klopp is having coming to terms with is the fact that the team just cannot take those chances that are created. The timing and decision making is completely gone from some of the players - especially the front lot. I thought we played really well in the 2nd half, and Klopp clearly recognizes the problem - which is that they are not moving that ball fast enough in the final third and they started doing that in the second half but again the decision making is bad. If I was Klopp I would not know what the fuck to do - nothing is working and today he did what we want him to do which was play two defenders in defense and bring Fab in midfield in his normal role. I wish we had fucking won that game - we were causing them all sorts of problems in the 2nd half.

Good luck and stay safe till this shit is over.

So what’s our best available 11 for the rest of the CL?

Becker
TAA
Kabak
Phillips
Robertson
Thiago
Fabhino
Gini
Salah
Mane
Jota

🙁

Wolves and arsenal away are our next 2 games in the league. We can turn this around.

We could genuinely lose all our remaining games and it wouldn't even be surprising, may be able to scrape a few draws here and there but
the winning mentality of this team is dead and buried.

I've not posted much recently, because I haven't given two fucks about this season. I've watched maybe 2 or 3 of our last 10 games, and I find it difficult to give a fuck. Not because we're playing terribly, because god knows, I've watched us for 20+ years, and there have been Liverpool teams far far worse than this. Being in 7th or 8th place is hardly something we haven't experienced before, so that's hardly something we should lose our collective minds over.

The reason I don't give a fuck is because this season isn't football. Empty stadium football is pointless bullshit. If I have to endure one more season of this, I might go off football permanently. Is it any surprise that the league is being won at a canter by the most expensively assembled collection of soulless mercenaries who're least affected by empty stadiums?

Which is why applying any of the normal yardsticks to this season is totally nonsensical. This season is the strangest football season in living memory, so why we're losing our minds is beyond me.

Klopp's entire coaching philosophy is to build a side that feeds off the energy from the crowd. His lifeblood is entertaining the fans, bonding with them and being a part of them. This is a man who built one of the greatest Liverpool sides in 30 years winning the PL, the CL and World Club Championship. The euphoria of winning the league has been eroded by the one of the worst, most isolating and depressing years in our lifetime. Klopp hasn't received his reward - a crowded stadium going insane, the parade he do desperately wanted. And you're wondering why we're out of sorts?

Combine all that with personal tragedy, the worst injury crisis I can ever remember, and suddenly he's lost the dressing room?

Klopp is one of the true managerial greats of the last 30 years. The one thing I've learnt across all sports, is that you never doubt the absolute greats - they will prove you wrong.

This season is a complete aberration, for absolutely understandable reasons. I don't give two shits if we finish 10th. We'll be back once the world is a more normal place and crowds at Anfield are back. Klopp will be back. And we'll win the league again with him. I can guarantee it.

I'll read back the posts in here shortly. But I think the whole LFC organisation is lost without the anfield crowd, and the liverpool supporters in general. We won the league for the first time in 30 years without fans, Klopp hasn't had a chance to celebrate this or be celebrated. The players came into the season running on fumes and they have no 12th man pushing them on.

Everyone in the football club needs a rest. Fuck the blame game, it is shit. Where were those playing 'blame klopp' 'blame Bobby' when it was these people who are responsible for bringing us #6 and #19. There is no entitlement in football, so let's not become entitled cunts crying that we aren't challenging for the title. Yes - the football is shit, and we can moan about that - but there are many factors at play and we we just need to brush it off.

I just hope that some time between now and the start of next season there are enough games and events with fans that get Klopp and this squad their energy back to come back fighting next season. If we're in the Europa League, fuck it - we do a Spurs and use it to play the squad players (if we have any) and put full focus on the league again.

I was about to post something similar except briefer and less eloquent.
I don't think it is possible to overestimate the negative effect no fans is having on our level of performances.
This season might cause the earlier breakup of the title winning team team expected but I am not concerned in any way that Klopp is overseeing that.
I am somewhat concerned though that the money men might not fully facilitate it.

I am certainly not is the business of defending @Rosco as he is more than well capable of doing that himself but I doubt that he thinks that Klopp has lost the dressing room. I do know that he has always been an advocate for site activity and discussion and this site, while been less so than other fan sites, can be a bit of an echo chamber sometimes. I like my views to be challenged and this site is at it's best when there is proper, in depth, wholesome debate.
It might be better if he didn't do it in such a trolling manner though.

Hopefully you'll pop back next season and the tide will have changed. I agree in part about the changing feeling on here, but it is a forum where peope vent and in the current climate there is nowhere else and noone else to do this to/with down the pub.

See you in August matey...

As a wise man once said.. they all float down here. Beep beep.

No seriously, if you found another website which you like that's awesome.

I don't think he's lost the dressing room as in the players have lost respect for him, but I do think we've had a massive kick in the teeth this year in a number of respects, morale is down and tempers (and patience) are probably frayed. The squad needs an overhaul.

The pressure is on Klopp a bit, but idiots on social media (and here, yes you Jono, you fucking Sky generation twerp) calling for his head, need to give their own heads a wobble. He needs time to get us back there again. Whoever comes in has a rebuilding job on their hands while being up against it with FSG's model, which is effective but also flawed when short term injections are needed.

We need to just get behind the team for the remainder of the season and regroup in the Summer. Yesterday was Klopp's error, it was a weak team and he got it wrong, but most other weeks the team he has put out should be getting points. Firmino and Gini can go as far as I am concerned. If Gini doesn't want to sign then bench him.

Klopp and Ali need the Summer to grieve and refocus. If you're willing to sack off a manager who has just lost a parent and has also just won the CL and league back to back, then you're a complete moron who doesn't understand what we're about.
