Hart on loan?

If we hadnt signed a goalkeeper this summer I'd agree with you. But it seems like Karius was brought in to start if you look at our pre season games.

Consider it? Sure. Is he that much better then what we got? No. He probably isnt. I'd rather have him then Ming obviously but loaning him just doesnt seem like a very good move.
Guardiola has picked the horrendous Caballero over him. If he was that fucking good then his ball playing ability could probably be worked on. But instead they're playing Caballero and signing Bravo.

He's on massive wages and I'd rather develop Karius in all honesty, who looks ready to perform now and has been very good in the Bundesliga.

Danish? Couldnt care less. I'm Norwegian.
I don't really like his "back-slapping, top changing room joker bantz" mateyness...and his wages are astronomical - but he's in a different league to Mignolet; and Karius (at best, as an unproven quantity) must be considered raw.

If you put him straight into the side now, does he improve it? Unequivocally Yes. Does he improve it significantly? In my opinion, again yes.

He's on 110k a week.
Thats 5,7 mill £ + a possible loan fee.

Doubt we'll sell Ming in this transfer window so thats possibly 4 keepers on the books.

Doesnt make sense in my opinion.

No (that's if we're even interested). He's not significantly better than Mignolet and is just as lousy if not worse with the ball at his feet.

Whereas Mignolets long term deal, on improved salary did make sense....?

Loads of people in here said it was to improve his resale value...

Didnt make sense, no. But I doubt we'll sell him now with 2 weeks left in the transfer window and him being our starting goalkeeper.

Can see him being sold next summer when Ward returns. Hopefully.

He wasnt particularly good last season and he was awful in the Euros.

To me it looks like has regressed quite a bit.

Karius is the future. Hart would cost a fortune in wages which we can neither afford or want to tie up. Plus, he makes ridiculous shampoo adverts so a definite NO !

Joe Hart is "a smidge better" than Mignolet?
I take it from this you disagree? Can I ask if you think he's shite or Ming is shite or both are shite? Let's not be churlish though. We both know they are both fucking shite.

He's a good shot stopper who is prone to too many gaffs and a complete inability to command his area. And so is Joe Hart.

He's been in decline for a few years in my opinion. I'm surprised he's been quickly disposed of at City but I'm not that bothered about him being here.

I'd like us to be monitoring the Toure situation, though. I suspect he'll go somewhere for huge wages, but worth keeping tabs on.

I considered this for a few minutes yesterday but despite his undeniable quality he's a lazy tosser. Or at least has been the past couple seasons whenever I've watched City. Can't see him fitting in. And he's on a massive wedge too.

Could be wrong.

I wouldn't want him anywhere near us. Hes regressed massively over the last few years

Hart is a top class keeper, but like others have said he has regressed these past few years. Maybe he needs a new challenge to get him back to his best but I'd stay away.

I'm not surprised Guardiola doesn't fancy him. He's not just a David James-style blunderer, he's also one of those English characters who thinks clapping his hands all the time while shouting to his teammates will somehow summon up the winning spirit. There's no intelligence, just a lot of bluster. Apparently before the Iceland game he was marching around the changing room shouting and clenching his fist at the others. That helped a lot, didn't it. He's better than Ming, obviously, but he's not a first rate keeper, never will be.

GK - the most accurate assessment of a player EVER on this forum. I wish I could give it 100 likes.

This piece summed everything up perfectly: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...t-epitomises-everything-that-is-a7106591.html

Full on cunt description "It’s always too much trouble for Hart. You know not to hold your breath waiting for something intelligent because he doesn’t want to give it. The barrel was being so scraped on the last of these occasions that, for the purposes of levity, he was asked about the team darts matches that he is supposedly organising. Dead bat. Nothing. He didn’t want to know, or to share any insight for the hundreds who have spent a fortune following England around this country."

This video is unavailable.

I have liked it anyway on the assumption that it is the old singer out the Undertones with that big hit single he had when he went solo.

It is available in the UK. And yeah, it is Fergal, and 'A Good Heart (these days is hard to find)'.

Preening is a good word for him. He even preens in defeat. I noticed it when City were losing games in their first Champions League campaign, he was practically racing to the cameras to do his 'I'm a big enough man to come out and talk straight after a defeat' routine, showing the fans how he was angry and suffering and determined to right all wrongs. Of course, on paper, you could look at that and say that's precisely what you'd want a player to say and do, but there's something about Hart, when he performs before the cameras, that makes me think 'Fake'. He seems to live within quotation marks. He's always watching himself like an angel hovers over a chosen one.

Jack Butland is everything Hart isn't: intelligent, articulate (one of the most articulate players around, in fact), modest, down to earth, consistent and just focused on doing his job. If he can get himself fit again he should be first choice for England, with Fraser Forster second and Hart left to concentrate on his Head and Shoulders ads.

I saw The Undertones a few months ago. The replacement singer does a remarkable Larry The Lamb/Feargal Sharkey.

£6-7m for a better goalkeeper than Mignolet is well worth it. Karius might be the future but, as we all should know by now, we have a terrible history with promising goalkeepers.

4 keepers on the books? That must be an all time low record! Sign the fucker!
