Roy clearly doesn't rate Lucas so it is possible he wants to move him on.
He hasn't picked Lucas for either league game (Mash tantrum aside) and it now looks as if Poulson wasn't Mascherano's replacement.

The rawkites seem to believe this is asset stripping & either the story is bollocks pu out by the g&h pr machine to encourage bids or that the player has been paid by g&h to say it so hey can make more money from a sale.

A poster on RAWK has said we've "deffo" bid 9M for Inler. If this is true and it's not just a failsafe in case Meireles falls through for whatever reason, it probably means Lucas is a goner.

Lucas is amazing, he's being held back by Gerrard, who swans about every match with not enough discipline so Lucas has to cover for him.
The fact Stevie does this also meant Alonso & Mascher were held back by him, so it's not just Lucas, they were tainted by him. The best option would be to sell Gerrard so Lucas can shine.
Oh, & that's why we drew so many games last year, cos Lucas was a 'steadying influence', had he not played we'd have lost them instead.

You know, now that Lucas is in the right place in the pecking order, ie forth rather than regular starter, I am happy enough if he stays.
While not exactly in the sqawk camp, in my opinion he isn't quite as bad as he is sometimes made out on here, he has premiership experience and can ultimately do the job of a forth choice squaddie.
Hopefully he is on a small salary too so any named replacement would probably demand a bigger salary as well as using up transfer funds.

Sorry Sunny, have to disagree. He's really, really shit. It's not his fault he gets picked regularly but as someone said (might have been Keniget) some players come to represent everything that is bad/wrong at a club and is the 'face' of bad times. Lucas is that guy for me.
