I was wondering the same thing. What is with Dutch managers and taking public pot shots at their players. Not that I am complaining but we had Ten Hag publicly stating Sancho is not living up to the mark in training. Why not deal with this behind close doors? Good luck getting a bid for Sancho after that public statement.
The Dutch love to air their grievances out loud it's a cultural thing. the manager of Ajax yesterday blamed a draw to lowly Sittard based on all these new players he says he's not heard of

He probably isn't lying either, I needed an Ajax win for my accy....after about an hour in I was like wtf is going on here, looked at their line up and I don't recognise a single fucking player to the Ajax side of recent years....they've essentially signed a whole new team.

Tadic gone, Kudus gone, Timber gone, Alvarez gone, Klaassen gone, Grillitsch gone, Bassey gone.

To be fair, Kudus and Timber were the only mainstays there expected to do much this season. Tadic was slowing too much to lead the line, Klaasen equally couldn't play twice a week, and Bassey was no big loss. Now however the whole side lacks experience and they'll likely sack Steijn before he gets a tune out of these players

No, they hate me, cos i don't take shit from them.

From my own observation, it's the 'white' dutch folks that are the most infuriating, arrogant bunch. Everything's by the book with them, yet they don't follow what they preach. Them and their silly outdated colonialists' mindset.

I guess Koeman is a good example. Preaching loyalty to the national team (even though this was a U21 issue and there was no need for him to comment on this), when he himself had a clause in his contract to leave abruptly if Barcelona came calling - which he did.

Sorry, not trying to make this into a racial thing.

Some dutch bird i work with just cc-ed the entire world, incl. the regional head, just cos i was late to reply her email one flipping day (!!!). And now everyone thinks i was bullying her. Bloody gaslighting hypocrites. Apologies for my rant.

Must be the Dutch people you work with..

There is a Dutch team where I work, and I also have some Dutch customers.

And I've not experienced what you have.

Not worked with any but from causal interactions, they’ve always seemed super friendly and nice.

Anyways, it’s all anecdotal… you can’t stereotype based on a few experiences.

Personally i hope this all sours the international experience for young Grav, and he bins it all in.

In an act of solidarity, i also hope the rest of his domestic team mates bin off internationals as well

Definitely. My original comment was just on their football setup. I remember reading a couple of years ago that there is a history of infighting within the Dutch football setup even from the time of Cryuff, which has prevented their national team from achieving their potential.

I work with a lot of Dutch people. They are one of the most annoying, boring, outspoken, tactless and legalistic people in the world.
Lol. If you filter through this in general then there's amazing people who have the get-stuff-done skillset which I find lacking in Britain's culture, it's one of the reasons I left. The tactless part is also hilarious

I always find it amusing that the Dutch will tell you that you can say anything to them because they are Dutch i.e. direct. But when you give it to them straight, they start crying

And get stuff done ? Not our lot, noooo. I’ve lost count the number of times I had to turn my camera and mic abruptly off on Teams and try to hang myself, because of the countless of useless meetings that seem to go round and round in circles.

The late Bobby Robson, in one of his books commented on dutch players, they are very opinionated, and generally do talk back if they hear something they dont like. So I am not surprised about the infighting that usually takes place between them at tournaments.

I always found it a pain to be on the same sports team as Dutch ppl because they never failed to point out how shit we were, and they were usually right.

Where are you from/based? Curious if you're working with Dutch expats or not

Yeah, this is the stereotype for sure. Too much democracy on a team is not a good idea.

The Dutch blunt, straight talking stereotype? Nothing to it at all, a't'all

Louis van Gaal claims Qatar World Cup was fixed for Lionel Messi and Argentina to win

Former Netherlands head coach Louis van Gaal has sensationally claimed that the Qatar World Cup was fixed to ensure that Lionel Messi and Argentina would win.
Messi guided his nation to their first World Cup triumph since 1986 with a penalty shootout victory against France in the final. The Inter Miami forward scored twice in the final before converting his penalty in the shootout which Argentina won 4-2.

En route to the final, the South American nation battled past the Netherlands, triumphing again on penalties in the quarter-finals after a dramatic and feisty contest that saw 16 yellow cards issued throughout the game.

Van Gaal was the man in the Dutch dugout for the defeat but the 72-year-old believes that the tournament was predetermined to ensure that Messi and the Argentinian national team would triumph in what will likely be the legendary forward’s last World Cup. Speaking at the Eredivisie awards to Dutch outlet NOS, Van Gaal said: “I don’t really want to say much about it.

“When you see how Argentina gets the goals and how we get the goals, and how some Argentina players overstepped the mark and were not punished, then I think it all premeditated game.

Wait till you work with the French.
