Its possible to beat west ham without gerrard. but no way can we beat city if he's suspended. It's just not worth the risk. Have him on the bench against west ham just in case.
By resting Stevie for the West Ham game we are sending out a message to Man city that we don't believe we can beat them without him.
With so much time and effort being put into making our own players believe in themselves I don't think it would send the best message to them either.
He should play against the Hammers and what will be will be
What if Stevie gets 2 yellows in a match against either West Ham or City? Will it be counted as a red card therefore he will only miss a game and once he returns the yellow will be changed from limit of 10 to 15?
My point is if he gets red card (2 yellows) it is only a one match ban and not two. So if he gets two yellows while being on 9 yellow card as he is now- will he get a 1 match ban instead of 2?

This Gerrard yellow card thing is really bothering me very much. It is the only thing making me not fully confident about winning the title to be honest.
He plays against West Ham obviously. Once he stays on his feet he doesn't get booked. Let Henderson make a silly foul to haul back a player if needed. Gerrard can ping the ball about for come off after an hour just like the Spurs game.
