It's sad the way things have turned out with Torres and the club in general after his first season and to a lesser degree his second. Such a shame.

As for Carra, the Arbeloa incident the other season was a good example of him being far too aggressive.

totally. that's what i was trying to get at: the idea of getting back that wonderful player from 07/08 seems like a pipedream right now. the constant niggling injuries, a reliance on something as precarious as pace, never getting a summer break, the team's inexorable decline, the the clck ticking down his peak years: he's like existential angst in footballer form.

Sadly this story of a rift is believable with the way things are. I agree with Keni the Arbeloa incident comes to mind, where Carra was well out of order and sadly that was Arbeloa's last appearence
for us too. I don't apprecaite Carra telling Rafa he wouldn't play RB verses Boro last season either.
He goes a step too far at times and I can imagine him doing so with Torres, I can also see Reina stepping in if that happened. I don't however think that Gerrard would, I think as captain he would try to keep the peace

If he was playing well then I would maybe accept Carra's criticism but as things are Carra should be the first of our CBs to be placed on the bench. We need to get some youth involved as soon as possible. Kelly needs to start playing more regularly.

Carra falling out with Torres wouldn't surprise me, hardly best mates. Gerrard though? Can't see it, sounds like another bluenose cab rumour

This is from someone who usually knows his stuff on twitter. Hopefully all this is a big pile of crap.

None of our defenders have been good this season
Youve spelt the word players wrong there ^

i find the whole torres thing completely depressing. not only do we seem to have next to no chance of holding onto him, but his value must have plummeted in the last year, and must still be dropping with his form and constant fitness doubts, and his age will shortly become an issue (27 by next summer) in terms of the fee we could get for him. tbf it must be very much like how the utd fans are feeling about rooney.

it's beginning to look like we missed the boat in not selling him in the summer tbh, because right now, knowing we've got a rebuilding job to do, i'd snap your hand off for £50m.
If we had sold him in the summer, where do you think the money would have gone?

Considering where we are in the league, i'd think there was something wrong if some of the players weren't having a pop at each other.

I also don't like the way he looks for a teammate to blame after he's just fucked up himself. I wonder what some of the other players think of him privately.

Except I'd have a different answer than he would

I reckon it would be value for money if the 11 of them came onto the pitch at 3 o'clock on Sunday and just knocked shit out of each other. I don't mind if they form cliques early on so long as at the end there was just one man standing, and even he's completely fucked with a broken jaw and cracked ribs.

Yes, he's certainly lacking that extra bit of pace at the moment. Perhaps he's afraid of getting injured again if he accelerates to full speed.

the defender who scored the most own goals in his Liverpool career is more like it.

Torres is playing like a half-arsed cunt at the moment, so I'm not surprised Carra of all people had a pop.

Carra might not be the most gifted, but he is the most committed. Vice versa for Torres

it's always the same with really fast players, i'm freaked out they're going to lose their pace, especially when they keep getting injured. i've been hurt with owen once already; i guess it's a coping mechanism.

it's like losing a father as a child, you slowly recover trust and conquer the fear and and form a bond with your stepfather, and then one day - bang! your mother gets a call from the underground lair that he's been killed by an angry mutated seabass with a laser beam on its head and i'm like 'but mom, steve's been like a father to me!'

hurts like hell.

Going back to the Torres argument with Carra. I never read into it too much when players have a barney on the field. I don't know how many times I've argued or told team mates to fuck off on the pitch during a match and then go for a few pints with them afterwards. What happens on a pitch generally stays on a pitch.

Saying that though, arguments only tend to happen when team morale is very low, and something doees need to be done about this.

You're a fucking jebend.

You'd rather support the manager of Inter Milan than a long serving servant of the club, that came through from the youth ranks and has been integral to every success we've achieved in the past decade, who is *still* employed by Liverpool Football club and will no doubt go down as a legendary figure.

And to top it all off, you've then got the temerity to act like a know-it-all sanctimonious super-fan and berate people for making any criticism of Rafa, no matter how justified

but its fact, why cant u accept it?

i like to see you angry, btw!
