It's only the British media that paint a picture of Hodgson as a gentleman and well liked. Around Europe, and especially the countries where he has worked, he's know as arrogant, touchy, patronising and unpleasant

It obviously won't.

Your sort of attitude is exactly what I was saying is wrong in another thread. Winning always has to be the priority, and especially in times like these.
Squiggles, do me a favor. Save the Holier than thou attitude for Sundays.

This fella shouldn't have been let within an asses roar of our club, and I don't want any more time afforded to him and his mediocre ways. Every added day he is with us, is a day in further crisis. We need a fresh start and need it now. a CL spot is still in sight if we had 8 out 10 wins in the next few weeks. I've seen it before.

Of course I want a feckin' win, but I don't want it to seen by some (and it will be ) as Roy needs more time. That he's turning the ship around.

Jesus H, why do some people think they are better fans than others.
Winning is always a priority. But it depends whether you're looking at a short-term or long-term gain. They don't always coincide.

NESV are smarter than you give them credit for. They're not morons, and they certainly won't think Roy is the messiah because he beat an average Blackburn side at home. Instead they'll think, "Good, we won, now things are a bit less shit", and so should everyone else.

Fair comment

I think that's a bit of an overreaction localny. The thing is, some people seem to be fairly cavalier about being in the relegation spots, and yes it SHOULD be the case that we are better than our position reflects, and it SHOULD be the case that we turn it around, but it'll help the club to no end to just get some wins together. I really don't think that'll have any impact on NESV's planning.

If we win, I'll be pleased, and sadly surprised.
Yeah, you're right Farky it was. looking forward to moving up a few spots. Hopefully NESV are in planning for a new manager as we speak. As someone said, he's a defensive manager with not much ideas on moving forward attacking-wise...not what is going to won trophies.

Yeah some tits on the site kept saying 'win this match and we up to 4th'

then 'win this match and were 2 points from 4th'

and then 'draw this match and we are above relegation'

and then ' if team x loses we are above relegation'

and at last said ' Hodgson is no good, we need a new manager'

I think most people recognised very quickly that Hodgson was a bad choice, Asbo.

The idea that everyone thought Hodgson would be a fantastic option is only prevalent among Rafa's death squads prowling around.

Yep. I don't think many people thought he was a good choice, I think many of us could see some logic in the idea that he'd come in, keep things simple and stick to the basics, on the back of Rafa's tinkering and occasional baffling tactical decisions. Unfortunately it hasn't turned out that way at all, but I think most people on here are reasonable enough to support a manager no matter what and give them a chance to prove themselves. There's a difference between that and 'wanting' him in the first place, which is something some idiots on here fail to grasp, seemingly getting more joy from telling everyone how right they were all along. What a crock of shit eh?

the defender who scored the most own goals in his Liverpool career is more like it.
