When I visited Liverpool (in the summer) as a tourist I took a bus from the City Centre (Queens Square) early in the morning. I had only a very rough idea of where Anfield was and no map or directions other than the bus number I skimmed off the net (LFC website actually come to think of it).
Intuitively I got off at Walton Road but walked off in the wrong direction through Walton until I found myself at the gates of the Anfield cemetery. Finally got my bearings right then went back down and found Goodison Park before I figured if I'd just walk round the perimeter of Stanley Park I'd eventually reach Anfield, which I did.
Whole journey took me almost 90 min. (Though I did take in the sights)
I know it was mostly me being a complete and utter dimwit (and refusing to ask any locals in case since it would feed into the complete OOT image esp in Everton territory) but I have to say it isn't easy to get to at all. I can imagine the bus must be crowded on match days.
Ah. I was there during the summer though. No game, no bus. Just doing the stadium tour and all.The Soccer Bus and regular routes quite well explained, almost OOTer proof.

Just wondering, do away fans take the bus as well?
I find this situation ironic, Fulham wanted the match postponed as they were waiting on a Greek striker being ready, but relying on English strikers to get the match postponed.
Breaking News : Ray Wilkins has confirmed that Graven Cottage is haunted by the ghost of MIchael Jackson.
Match postponed until a priest can perform an exorcism. Awaiting go ahead from the Vatican.
I don't want Fulham to go down cos they're shite

I don't want them to go down as I'll miss my free ticket there every season. The friendliest home fans for an away fan to sit with. Never any grief any when 3-0 in ten mins a few years ago. Mainly suits and tourists where I sit.
Haha, one of my old local pubs (the one which let me drink on a Friday night at age 16) was run by two Fulham fans, thoroughly decent people. They're the only two I can remember meeting though.Haha.
I've never met a fulham fan in my life. Pretty sure they don't actually exist
Haha.
