1. Ginsoak personally phoned Tevez to try and persuade him to stay, but didn't succeed;

2. Barca are after Vidic, whose missus is unsettled in Manchester.

Ala Keegan, I would fucking LOVE IT if Vidic was to go, LOVE IT.

I really don't know what sort of money it would take to prize him him away though, I could quite easily see them turning 30-40mill down if it got offered.

I wouldn't mind him staying at Utd to be terrorized by Torres and Gerrard again next season.

And Dossena is on his way back to Italy and Juventus for 6,5 mill.

Arsenal and Liverpool have joined the hunt for Luc Castaigones - rated as one of the finest young prospects in Europe.

The 16-year-old starred in the recent Uefa Under-17 Championship when he finished as top scorer.

A clutch of sides are showing a big interest in the Dutch youngster, but he is already tied down to a long-term deal at his club Feyenoord.

But his agent has confirmed that interest is mounting and a deal could be set-up whereby he would be loaned back to Feyenoord.

"The interest is known and clubs are willing to go really far," Arie Treffers told De Telegraaf.

"We have sent everyone to Feyenoord. Luc and his parents prefer to stay at Feyenoord for now.

"A construction where a big team would sign him and directly loan him out to Feyenoord could be an option."

I think it was on RAWK that someone mentioned that Dutch TV claimed we'd put a 4M bid in the other day.

He looks very fast in his YouTube vid. Not so sure about the other attributes though. A younger Babel?

Personally I would rather UTD keep Vidic than get £30 million for him. Now if it was Ferdinand they were after then that would be differen't.

At £4m for a 16-yr-old, he'd better be a damn sight better than Babel.

Vidic is only 27 and at the peak of his game whereas Ferdinand is 30 and increasingly injury-prone (including a persistant back injury) - I would definitely prefer if Vidic left.

I was referring to their levels of play, but I suppose Vidic does have the capacity to improve given that he is at the age where you begin to see the best of a CB.

Andrea Dossena would be happy to remain at Liverpool, according to the full-back's agent.

Dossena signed at Anfield from Udinese last summer but struggled to make an impact during his debut campaign in the Premier League.

Juventus have been linked with a move for the Italian defender, and Dossena has confirmed he would like to play for the Serie A giants.

However, Dossena's representative, Roberto La Florio, has stated that Liverpool are keen to retain his services.

"We have spoken with Liverpool and with Benitez and we received confirmation that the club are keen on holding onto Dossena," La Florio told Sportal.it.

"However, we all know what the market is like and when a certain offer comes along then negotiations open up.

"So far neither us nor Liverpool have been presented with an offer but we did have contact with Juve last year.

"Dossena is fine in England. He would be happy to return, but under certain conditions. Juve are making their own evaluations and they will contact us if they are interested. We will wait."

He's a goner. Hasnt he put in a transfer request?

If true, I bet that will have pissed Rafa right off.
