I've decided to position myself as an uber hipster football fan for this World Cup but who are the hipsters supporting this year? Belgium are already too mainstream for my liking. If I saw a lad walking down the road wearing a Belgium top with Hazard on it, I'd be embarrassed for him. Imagine if they win it? That would be the most mainstream thing they could do. They should do themselves a favour and finish bottom of their group so the bandwagon can start again for Euro 2016.

Germany is so 2010. I wouldn't be caught dead supporting them. I'd be up for supporting France but ONLY if they play Morgan Schneiderlin. That's a deal breaker for me right there. No way will I be supporting Holland. I was playing 5aside the other day and I saw a lad wearing a Holland shirt. It reminded me that if he was wearing one, anyone could have one. So I ordered myself the Algerian goalkeeper's shirt online. I had to paypal some bitcoin to a guy I met on the internet but hopefully it will deliver before Algeria are knocked out. Who does that leave us with, Columbia or Chile? Proceed with caution though, it will probably be mainstream to support Chile by the weekend. If you buy their shirt, hold onto the receipt. You can always bring it back Monday.

Fuck it, I mightn't even bother watching it. I did watch the last one but the book was definitely better. Probably best to let this World Cup finish and then binge watch it on Netflix.

And Modric, Mandzukic and Lovren. Corluka, Pranjic, Srna and Vrsajlko are also decent defenders. Two other very talented young midfielders in Badelj and Brozovic as well.

Anyway, as any true hipster fan will know, it's all about picking a side that's floated around near the top for years, has a decent reputation for it's fans, manager, etc - But crucially has started to play good football recently and you were the absolute first to notice it. Cf Borussia fucking Dortmund. The ultimate hipster football side.

At this World Cup, running all that through the mill would probably churn out Brazil. Watch every hipster cunt now start talking about how Scolari should have Thiago Silva playing in a back 3 to utilise his marauding runs forward better. And that the 1982 Brazil top was the best one ever. Whilst drinking a Quilmes and listening to Guardian podcasts, in between Christopher Hitchens youtube searches. Cocks.

Anyway, I'm going for Japan. Easy group, and they've got Honda and Kagawa ready to take the piss.
