PS Out of curiosity what's the story with Ødegaard? I have tried to keep tabs on him at Herenveen but it seems he's not had the best of starts there either? Surely, there's a great talent in him, but has he stagnated or are there still hope?

He's struggled a bit. Both with playing time and adjusting to the league. Dont think he's been helped by the fact that Herenveen have been struggeling in the league either.
If I remember correctly he's there next season aswell and will hopefully start to realize some of his potential there.
Clearly made a mistake by joining Real Madrid, and should have gone to Ajax.

Probably the usual suspect when it comes when players peak during their careers and when they will start to decline...

Messi with 500 goals in 600 games for Barca.
And Ronaldo with more goals then games for Real, 395 in 387.
Insane. Just absolutly insane.

We concentrate on goalscorers but some of the greatest ever players were elegant midfielders like Socrates, Gerson, Platini, Di Stefano etc
