I'm not sure what was the point in bringing him to Dublin and playing him for most of the game.

He was decent in the second half of last season. Never a 17 million pound player, but did ok. Apart from that he's been very poor. Hopefully the money will go on a better player who won't command as much in wages.
Christ we really have trimmed this squad back in the past 12 months in terms of wages....
I'm wondering what the next move is? 2 or 3 quality replacements? Or is this money being saved basically due to the Stadium redevelopment.....
I'm worried about the Stadium issue, if we cant spend for 5 seasons say because of this and things go tits up god knows what might happen? I guess we just need to have belief in the long term plan / hopes these FSG types have for us.

First option: MK central, Coutinho to the left. We didn't get him so...
Second option: Coutinho central, someone else to the left.
I don't think we have any high earners left that we don't particularly want in the team? Downing was probably the last, or am I forgetting someone?

Personally I believe FSG are looking to sell a minority steak to a wealthy individual/organisation, and that's how I believe they'll fund the stadium.

Substantial. But weren't they writing off previous owner expenses, like Stadium design etc?
Anyhow, yes somewhat sad, the idea of super stew is gone. But he was utterly awful. His season last season was the only reason we got money for him. It served its purpose. Definitely a time to celebrate. Don't forget 0 goals and assists. Isn't that a record?

You are so right, sir! You are absolutely on the button! But, you know, the funny thing is, I'm not THAT keen on it. Yes, I feel fortunate to have earned enough to pretty much be able to afford any kind of meat I please, but this one, well, I'm not overly mad about it, to be honest. I think it's the thought of all them Japanese farmers massaging the cow. That's basically what you're paying for, extra like, but do I want to eat a piece of meat that I know has been manhandled by a whole lot of Japanese blokes? Not really. I mean, they're a weird lot, let's be honest. They're grown up and everything yet they have all of that 'Hello Kitty' stuff in their cars! What's THAT all about, eh? Try that in Splott and you'll end up with a black eye and a wedgy within, oh, ten minutes, top, especially if you're in a heavily built-up area. So - personally - I'd much prefer a normal bit of rib-eye or a classy fillet. Rump's okay, too - very, very, underrated, is rump. I think it's because people think it's arse. Which it isn't. But it's definitely part of a cow that works hard, and that's all to the good when you eat it. Very lean, it is. Anyway, I digress.
