According to Andy Hunter the club has made him available for a transfer.
We want 5 mill and Newcastle are interested.

Not a massive surprise.
Unlike most I dont really have a problem with Superstu, I think he does a good job balancing out the side. Riera was better mind you.
I guess this means Aspas in my fantasy team is a cert to play games.

Meaning he balances out all of our good play with bad?

seriously though. 5 mill is fucking cheap for him. he's shit like but that's still cheap. must be wages. fucking ding benny and his shitty transfers.

It is a tiny bit worrying that while all around us are adding big BIG earners to their already better than us squads (Negredo, Fernandinho, Soldado, Chadil, Paulinho, Jovetic plus potentially the likes of Fabregas) we seem far more interested in stripping high earners from our team.

The grand plan SEEMS to be strip the big earners out (downing, reina, carroll, carragher obv, skrtel?) then sell Suarez for megabucks and replace with a couple of lesser-ish lights that earn less.

Honestly that Kenny/Comolli era plus the last year of Rafa's reign fucking messed us totally.

theyre not selling any of our good high earners yet. it's totally fair enough as long as they'll pay players who are worth the money.

Very good technician, according to the blessed Brendan. Maybe he meant for doing the lights.
im not arsed. at least brodger didn't pay 20 mill for the prick. I would have been gutted even if we'd paid 5 for him at the time.

Gauntlet is thrown yo!

But I find trolling abhorrent even though I partake in it

There's already the nocturnal egomaniac to dish out the usual predictable anti-Dalglish crap. That ought to be sufficient without any more mega-cunts chipping in during the day.

telling wenger to piss off is not enough for me. i wanted him to not sign carroll and downing for 60 mill.

Anyways...

5M is very cheap for Stewart Downing. He's worth more than that to a mid-table club.

I guess we will definitely be bringing in another attacker regardless of Suarez is Downing is sold.

No thats true. But only makes sense if we add this first team quality Mr Rodgers talks about.
There is nothing at all wrong with Aspas, Alberto, Mignolet and Toure but they arent moving us up the table 3 places. Especially if Suarez goes. We need quality of the ilk others are bringing in.
Again the players talked of Eriksen, Costa etc will definately be a step in the right direction, but do we really have to sell Suarez to bring quality in? Were about 7m to the good this window (about 15m up if Downing goes) so you would hope we would have money to sign some class. Vexing given how much we make corporately and how much the new TV deal is worth. Either the money is earmarked for players, a stadium or we are really skint and in trouble.

It could be any and all of those things but getting value for money probably figures in there somewhere.

I'm assuming Downing is on something like the reported 70-85K in which case you could probably make a good case for saying we could do a lot better for a lot less.

5 mill in fee and 4 mill in wages apparantly.

Rodgers seem hellbent on replacing the players in the squad with the wrong mentality.
I've always liked Downing but he isnt a fighter or a winner. At OT he always look like he's going to shite himself.

I'm guessing Costa is close and Ibe/Sterlings performances so far show that we dont need him imho.
Aspas can also play out wide.

See I knew something was up when he wasn't played against Thailand and Olympiakos.
But £5 million is pretty cheap.

Mos Dof Mos Def, Im not pressing any panic buttons or anything, the players who have gone are our weaker performers and you would hope Mr Rodgers choices of chaff to seperate.
Reina being the exception but I dont think we have weakened to be honest.

Im not sure at this stage wether I would rather we keep the Suarez or sign two top players.
Hopefully both but my hope would be if we keep Suarez we STILL get a couple and if he leaves we get 3 or 4 top buys in.
Im maybe living in a fantasy world, but lets say we were given 25m to spend this window (about average) so far we have spent next to nothing.

It would be fantastic if we can keep Suarez and sign ____ (attacking player or CM) & a highly rated CB ... Arsenal haven't improved (yet), Manure haven't either, and I think Spurs won't be able to replace what Bale gave them ... it's a big year (yet again!)
