FA Cup/ Weekend Games

The whole system is a simple one controlled by idiots. They specifically set it up to ONLY deal with blatant errors, and then they apply it for pretty much whatever seems even slightly contentious. Incredible.
They really need to liaise with the lads from the world cup. Was excellent there

Good for Poch, he was clearly envying us having a break, and in just two games he's caught us up so he can have a break, too. He's obviously as brilliant as they say he is.

That comment about being in four competitions worked out great for him.
What a wanker.

A couple of weeks ago, Spurs fans might have thought they could have won a quadruple. Now theyll almost certainly win nothing, and might even struggle to finish in the top four.

Spurs host Watford on Wednesday. A tough fixture. They could end up a point ahead of Chelsea and 4 from Arsenal/Man U.

How are those 4 competitions going for you MoPo, you wooden-toothed twat?

Arsenal's loss, overall shite performance and injuries at the back are annoying in the context of their upcoming game at City. Would be epic if Arsenal & Chelsea can get at least 2 points off City in those two games.

I can't believe how quickly Spurs have toppled without Kane/Son/Alli here. Their heads have gone. United's momentum could see them making a great move up to 3rd in the next month or so

3rd? They are top and running away? At least according to papers over here. Never seen a better football team they say.

Come now Brizzle - imagine if we lost our top 3 scorers ... They've been really badly hit by the injury bug.

It's still hilarious though. Poch making fun of us being out of two competitions whilst they were still in four ... one week later, hahaha !

Zero chance Arsenal will and slim that Chelsea will

Agreed on Arsenal but they did show against Spurs that they have the ability to 'turn up'. Chelsea could do a job if they line up properly e.g. Kante as DM. With an in-form Hazard joined by a #9 who can actually finish I have higher hopes than I had this time last week!

They wont win anything but I cant see them finishing outside the top 4, they are still 7 clear of Arsenal and Utd with a far better goal difference. At this point in the season thats a very big cushion. Its the Chavs that should be worried about dropping out of the top 4.

While Manure getting top four doesn't sound great, if Spurs go fifth I think they're doomed.

I agree. The manager will definitely fuck off and they'll be seriously lucky to replace him with anyone as good without a serious loss of players.

I mean financially. They're six hundred million over budget, they've lost all their stadium revenue this season, if they go out of the CL how are they going to pay that debt down?

I think the answer to that might be to become a proper selling club

None that Arsenal will. Chelsea however, now with a decent CF in Higuain upfront and Hazard restored to his rightful LW slot, are a different proposition and could revert to early season form. Will be a tough match when they come to Anfield too.

I think that depends on which Higuain turns up, the 15/16 version or the slighty heavier, older and shitter version.
Hazard will probably have an upturn in form at the left side of midfield.

Ruud Gullit has expressed doubt on his suitability also:

"Hope I am wrong, I really do, but Higuain is an old-fashioned striker who needs crosses and, if he plays up front all the time, he will not see many balls there.
So they don’t need a player up there who is a target man, because Chelsea don’t use one and, under Sarri, they never do".

Obviously Gullit is almost always wrong, so this is worrying, but surely the question should have been, if they "never do" under Sarri, and he's so old-fashioned, who the fuck was it that scored a record 36 goals in one season for Napoli under Sarri?

I've never really seen him used as a classic target man, but more as a striker who generally stays 'between the posts'

Gullit is clearly talking out his arse

I think higuain will struggle, not because he's a "target man" (he isn't), it's just he doesn't have the pace or physical strength to cope with the prem

Obviously he'll score some because he's too good a finisher, but I really don't understand how he's an improvement on giroud

Giroud isn't exactly dead mobile either, and Higuian is obviously a better finisher, so it might be some kind of improvement. Hopefully not, and it will be another Chelsea striking disaster in the transfer market.

Giroud may not be mobile, but he doesn't need to be lightning. In willian and hazard they will make space, as will Kante and Barclay/kovacic. Giroud just needs to occupy and outmuscle.
