They've been fine without Alderweiweld or Vertonghen ... But let's not pretend we'd suddenly be ok if Salah, Bobby & Mane went out ... We'd be trying to win games 1-0, but we'd struggle.
(Son has been starting games the last 2 months, and been brilliant).
Yep, I made this point a couple of weeks back, as sick as it sounds, Utd getting top four doesn't massively change their short to medium term future, as they can still afford, & attract, the best players in the world regardless.
Spurs miss out on top four though, & they will be massively screwed in that same short to medium term, & could even fuck them terminally.
Using that logic, Utd getting top four ahead of Spurs could conceivably take them out of the running for the next few seasons at a minimum, & could be better for us in the process.
Yep, if we suffered the same kind of losses to our personnel they have in the same positions, we'd be fucked as well.
Nice as it is to gloat, the phrase "There but for the grace of god, go I" springs to mind (although I usually say "There but for the whims of chance, go I" cos I don't appreciate the religious aspect, obv), as it could so easily be us in this situation, & looking at our second string forwards, I doubt we'd be performing much better.

Let's agree to differ. IMO Tottenham have clearly missed those CBs against the better sides and their results show that. As for our front three, it's relatively recently that Mo's got back to his best form, neither of the other two has managed it yet and - the Palace game aside - we still haven't had that many problems winning with a tighter and more compact style.
There should be a rule that if the PL champions get over 100 points, then 4th place no longer qualifies for Europe (obviously not for last season, but moving forward). Maybe also 3rd place - that would then give us extra incentive to keep winning once we have the league tied up in April

What does that kind of disparity lead to? There's too much reliance on, and indulgence of, poisonous wums like Modo to keep things active. If a forum has enough normal activity, twats like that are simply seen as twats. Here they're almost heroes. Not a good thing when fund-raising is being requested.

I dont think its gonna change with or without Modo or any other forum twats.
I think the problem is our posters are all old as fuck and cant be arsed debating maybes and nuances.
