FA Cup/ Weekend Games

In the PL we've won 12 games by 2 or more goals and the other 11 games by 1 goal or not won. That's a mile away from a struggle to eventually win (and some of those wins by 1 goal were still comfortable, Spurs away, Huddersfield away, Brighton away).
I should have said most games ... the spurs one is very strange .. we got lucky at the end that the ref did not give a pen. Prime example of just getting over the line for a win. My post said every game but really it has been only 3 games where we lookes the business. Every game feels like a shitty cup final...knowing a slip up will give free entry for City.

Mate, you've got to calm down. If you're this nervy now you'll be a basket case by April/May!

Aren't we 4 points clear of City?

In the last round of league matches I felt we had the most impressive result. We faced the hardest opponent, got ourselves into a spot of bother but managed to get out of it. Spurs and City were always going to the beat the worst teams in the league.

City in a similar spot of bother against the Palace dropped points. Palace scored three goals in that match too. Here's a link to the match report if you don't believe me:-

60 mins gone.
Wilson playing on the right. It's opened up for him now that Accrington are missing a player.

Fucking hell Wilson was almost through, miscontrolled the ball, should have passed it

It looks like he's there main man, so they were just doubling up on him
Not been great today

Wilson is positioned outside of the box. Right side. Shooting position. Waiting for a good delivery.

Verdict?
Seen him a few times this season, impressive shooting and crossing, but not much other than that.
If recalled he would just be another body on the bench, wouldn't offer us much.
If he's playing on the wing for us he needs pace, tenacity, dribbling, technique to make his own chances.
Nowhere near as good as the options we already have.
Harsh, I know, but call it like I see it.

Feel.sorry for Accrington Stanley there, they were arguably the better side & the sending off wasn't really necessary imo.

Meanwhile, at the Emptihad play has just resumed after the corner flag was snapped off & it took them almost five minutes to get the replacement.

I find it amazing the flag is made of either that hard plastic that snaps into shards or wood (couldn't see which it was), cos someone could get badly hurt if they tumbled into it & it snapped. I assumed they were all that bendy bounce back plastic.

Jesus scores.

Shame, was hoping against hope Burnley could at least force extra time & make them put a couple of the benched players on the pitch.

Ah well, always got injuries to hope for!

Wolves getting beat 2-0 by Shrewsbury - I bet that win over Liverpool tastes sweet now, doesn't it?

Wolves seem to be pretty serious about the cup this season tbf. I doubt any clubs in the top league scan be arsed with replays though.

For me, hes definitely more tailor made to the tip of midfield. Doesn't have the pace, strength or tenacity I think

Impact player most definitely, but not a starter. But I'm ok with that. The best teams always have a player not good enough to start, but good enough to cause problems
