I'm really glad to see Andy Gray make a return to the commentary box after being summarily dismissed from his job without, it appears, having even received what most people would expect to receive, a reprimand/formal warning about future conduct.

Is there a joke in there?

i fucking hate the england national team for no other reason then commentators never shut the fuck up about them . gerrard takes down oxlade-chambercock and what does he say "perhaps that's something they'll talk about on the plane to brazil " . fuck sake.

I was just about to mention that...Martin Tyler manages to shoehorn in a mention of the English national team whenever he gets a fucking chance. It's like he sets out a goal before each match he does to talk about the England team at least 50% of the time he is on the air.

You just don't like him because he's an evertonian.

No, I dislike him because he's an unoriginal, banal, arrogant, bigoted creep who sadly dazzles some on here because his pathetically solitary 'take a bow son' bark sparks a desperately needy Pavlovian spasm in their brains so that they forgive all of the shite that normally comes out of that thrush-addled mouth of his.

Yea. He talks about the World Cup like it's an upcoming EastEnders omnibus.

Arsenal lucky to be ahead. Sturridge missed two GREAT chances in the first 3 mins. Skrtel well off his game and they are getting some joy from our right. More goals to come from both sides methinks. Still think we'll win 2-3

I can't remember when I was last so ambivalent about a match we are playing in. A growing part of me doesn't want a home match against Everton to add to our fixture list, especially since they will arrive determined to avenge the thrashing they got and if we go toe-to-toe then injuries and suspensions are a bigger risk than normal. I'd far rather Arsenal and Everton went at it and lost of few players instead.

All I care about these days is the next league game.
