Damn, Teixeira isn't in the squad for Brighton & Hove Albion for their FA Cup game against the Gunners. No reason to watch that game then.

West Ham won 1-0. Gooners cruising at the moment, worse luck, and, as usual when things go well, they're taking the piss like the smug little gits they all are. They'll probably be taking selfies during the match at this rate. Oh for one of the Brighton players to react angrily with a bit of old fashioned GBH.

I liked Carra's comments the other day.

Something along the lines of "Well, each to their own, but when you're retired do you want to be pointing at your mantelpiece with photo's of you after winning at man city or lifting a trophy?"

West Ham struggled throughout that game with Bristol Citys 3-5-2. Will be interesting if Allardyce changes anything before laying us.
Carroll and Noble saved two certain goals with goalline clearances in the first half.

Brighton were robbed of a replay there.
Blatant handball I think if it was at the other end arsenal would have got it.

I did a double take when that bitter that does the crisps adverts said that earlier... The BBC get fucking worse.

I dread to think how it will happen. 'And that was Gyles Brandreth at the Toenail Museum in Garstang. Coming up later, the woman who knits vulvas, and Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys chooses his favourite vegetable. But first, the draw for the Fifth Round of the FA Cup...'

I don't see a lot of possible surprises in the FA cup this week although I'll be keeping an eye on the team news in the Saints v Palace because I have a feeling Koeman might take this opportunity to rest a few which could make Palace value at 5/1

Ever so slightly wrong about the lack of surprises 🙂, what a bloodbath that was for the "top teams". Was amazed at how bad United were at Cambridge and the Chelsea result is one of those complete freak results that makes no sense but who cares. Funnily enough I had a successful weekend as my tips......Palace (at 9/2) and Villa (at 6/4) both landed and made me a profit despite the James Wilson bet letting me down.

I hope we're not going to lie down and let him do that. 😉

I'm afraid I heard it'll be "Loin-acre", as Mick Channon used to call him, and Alex Jones making the draw. What you describe above will seem positively highbrow after that.

The thing with Bristol City is that they are probably the tallest team in any of the 4 division; Flint and Smith towered above Carroll and Tomkins, and Ayling and Williams were comfortable aerially against Reid and Nolan. If anything this game showed that, although the media seem to suggest the Hammers play a lot more football than last season, they are still a long-ball team overly relying on aerial supremacy at set-pieces.

To counteract this on Saturday we have 2 options; pick Sakho, Skrtel, Lovren and Can all to start to counter their long ball tactics or just play our own game and hope we can limit them territorially so that they don't get too many set pieces in dangerous areas.

what happened, tottenham were 1 up on the night and 2 up on aggregate

changed channel for a few minutes.... 2-2 aggregate

ha!
