The kid who came on as sub and scored 2 goals for Sheffield United is very highly rated, his full name is Che Zach Everton Fred Adams!

Eriksen is a good player. He has been from day one at Spurs.

Always wanted him here.

This may be an entirely incorrect assumption, but... Has Eriksen done it against any decent opposition? I don't seem to recall him taking the piss against Chelsea, City, United, Arsenal or us. He seems to kill it against the cannon fodder.

Anyway, happy to be corrected.

Not that much. Scored an equalizer against City this season, before Spurs went on to concede another 3. Scored the winner against the Mancs last season though I'm not sure the Mancs last season qualifies as decent opposition. 😉 Got an equalizer against Everton last season, and his goal beat Southampton this season.

What he's been this season though - and irritatingly for us - is a clutch player for them in that he keeps pulling off these late (or only) game deciders, which is somewhat reminiscent of Bale in the season before he moved to Spain. He's won 5 league games for Spurs this season, scoring the decider against Southampton and Leicester, and a late winner in the final 3 minutes of each of the wins against Hull, Swansea and Sunderland. That's 10 extra points Spurs have earned down to him, 6 of them as they were headed for a draw. Southampton is the only strong team in that list, but having the composure to score an important goal, especially in the dying minutes of the game, is a good attribute to have.

He has won more points for Spurs than Sanchez has for Arsenal. Saw a table showing the stats. I'll try dig it up.

I don't really get this "has he done it against the big teams" thing. If we had had a player to do it against, Leicester, Sunderland, Hull, Everton, Basel, we would be in a far better position than we are now.

I always get the impression that Eriksen is easily intimidated, seems to fade when given a bit of a hard time.

He likes to swagger around a bit but yes, I also get the impression that it's something of a front.

The guy can definitely play though.
