European Footy this week

This is pretty good news, they'll obviously get smashed out in the next round as they're garbage, but, it should buy agent moyes until at least the end of the season or beyond. If he'd have lost tonight, and lost to city, they probably had nothing to lose with cutting their losses. We want him in there long term.

I thought they were crap. Yeah they won but seriously a half decent team would have beaten them. I loved how everytime rooney passed to RVP they kept going on about it. They'll never get passed the quarters. The good thing is that hopefully they'll give Moyes another season as he got them to the quarter finals.

They scraped through against a team that was shit in both legs. This only increases the chance they will persist with that idiot. They will be destroyed by any team with any attacking ability.

I'll fucking love it if they get barca/real/psg in the next round, it'll be a cricket score.

Anyone that really believes they can win it needs to take their pills.
What like us in 2005?

Juventus? Oh they'll twat us. Wrong
Chelsea? Too much quality over two legs. Wrong
Milan? Best team in Europe and massive favourites. Wrong

It's football and anything is possible, and we, of all clubs, should know all about that!

Similarities

We beat Olympiakos
We had a poor league season
We had an ineligible star player who happened to be Spanish(Morientes)
Any more?

Yea, but they aren't us. Whatever god they had has forsaken them.

I think everyone, especially the Mancs, is forgetting that they barely got past a very, very poor side 3-2 on agg. They can call it a miracle result all day, that just makes it funnier in the big picture.
Cracks papered over. I wanted them out, but I can wait till the quarters..
Worst case scenario they get Dortmund.

MU fans are posting 'BELIEVE' now with hash tag GGMU all over the place. Devastated are those whose hopes are for the improbable. May it be so.

They're shit, as in moribund shit. The worst kind.

They've got absolutely bobbins. Fuckin bobbins.

That's the worst kind.

I dont know why people do that to themselves trying to find similarities between the Mancs and us in 2005.

We had Rafa in charge. Who had won league titles and the UEFA cup. He tactically masterminded all our away games in the knock out stages. Can you see David Moyes doing that? He's won the Community shield in his career.
No way on earth he'll manage to set them up against the teams that are left.
A bit more clinical finishing from an horrendous Olympiakos side and they would have been out.

They'll crash out to PSG in the next round.

i said in the unpopular predictions thread or whatever the fuck it was that united would be dog shit in the league but fluke a cl win, honestly reckon its gona happen, at least we'll finish first or second so we wont get pushed out of it though

My only worry is that they'll lose so badly that they'd be even more likely to sack him than they were if he'd lost tonight.

If they'd played like that against Real Madrid they'd have lost about 8-0.

Even if they draw Dortmund, they'll still have to face Reus, Lewandowski, Aubameyang, Mhyktarian.
Utd dont like playing against teams with pace. The fluke for them to win it would be that the other 7 teams will be disqualified imho.
Its that unlikely.

People making me laugh

I don't for one minute think they will win it but as long as they are in the competition they have a chance.

As said above, us in 2005. Carragher, hyypia, Alonso, Garcia, Gerrard. 5 quality players. That's all it takes.

They won't win it though, no fucking chance.

Ok, give me 1000/1 that utd win the CL. I will have £2 with you on it.

They don't win it, I give you £2
They win it, you give me £2002

Deal?

Not at all mate, i always thought we had an chance in all those ties, the best teams in Europe are even more mighty nowadays and Man Utd are awful, honestly no-one need worry about them getting through 5 games and lifting the thing.
